Picky cats are going to love this. I get the Chicken flavors Due to all of my reviews everyone knows my cat is the pickiest of the pickies...she loves something new for a minute then she turns her nose up at it. Applaws chicken breast in broth is in her wet food rotation. I rotate her foods so she doesn't get tired of one. The Applaws foods come in a variety of flavors and sizes too. I can tell the ingredients are quality and there are only a few things in the food. Chicken breast and rice and broth....that's it. I do like to chop up the shredded breast a little more ...but only because my kitty is messy. I have NO problems paying extra for quality food for my kitty. I would do the same for myself ---so it is no different than that. The smaller size 2.47 oz can is perfect for a snack. Of course she cannot eat all of it in one sitting but she grazes too I give that to her in addition to her dry kibble and some treats as well. she loves the variety . I really love The Applaws brand. You can tell they put a lot of care into the process of making the foods.

I've spent thousands of dollars on trying to find the best limited ingredient cat food that my insulin dependent cat will like and eat consistently and this is it! Now I do rotate between flavors so he doesn't get bored, but this is purrrfect. I due stick to the broths and not the gravys because of his occasional bouts with pancreatitis, but the gravys are good as well for cats that don't have other health issues. My other cat likes those.

This stuff smells and looks like real people food, if we were ever forced to eat pet food this would be my choice. Our cats go crazy for it. However for whatever reason our cats make a mess when eating it, not sure if it’s because they are long shreds of chicken that we fine strands all around their bowls. On the upside I have never had cat food that cleans up so easily out of their bowls after left overs dry, a quick rinse with water removes any debris without scrubbing their metal dishes. We found that they love the broth almost more than the chicken, we add a little water to left overs to make it juicy next feeding. Reveal brand wet food is almost identical, we couldn’t find any so we bought Applaws in a pinch- glad we did! Our finicky eaters are Happy kitties!

I tried this cat food because my one cat has stomatitis, which is very painful and he can't eat hard food when he has a flareup. Also, my vet felt that allergies to additives and grains in cat foods could be part of the problem. There is nothing in the applaws except shredded chicken breast, no taurine or other nutrients. Romeo loved it. It looked delicious and smelled like something you would want to eat yourself. When I ordered a case of the 5 oz cans it was not so great. The smell was off and my cat wouldn't touch it. I ended up shipping the the case of larger cans back. If this alone was fed to a cat, veggies or other nutrients would have to be added. Now I am trying Weruva which has necessary nutrients added, but no grains or fillers. Bottom line is that smaller size cans are more expensive. There dosen't seem to be consistency between these small cans and the larger size. Also, necessary nutrients for cats not present.
