This tallow balm comes in a dark glass jar, which I assume will preserve it. It's definitely whipped, and for tallow, it feels light. It does have a slight meaty smell, which means I've only used it at night. But the smell dissipates fairly quickly. It is thick and a bit oily, but it absorbs quickly and leaves my hands feeling very soft and supple. I haven't used it on my face because I have rosacea, and my face is super sensitive, but it has worked really well on my hands and body. The price seems a bit steep compared to a local company that sells their tallow balms at our local meat store, but I don't think it's unreasonable, considering the ingredients seem very clean.

I have used many tallow creams, and this is the only one that actually smells like tallow. The smell is very subtle, but it's there. On the one hand, I don't particularly like the smell; on the other hand, this is likely an indication that it's the real deal. The cream has a whipped and feels a bit greasy upon application, which once again is a pro - an indication that it has a high concentration of tallow - and a con, because it doesn't soak in immediately. It comes in a dark, glass jar, which I prefer over plastic. It is more expensive than most tallow creams - perhaps because it contains colostrum? Colostrum is the last ingredient, so it's hard to know how much colostrum it contains. The cream itself only contains 3 ingredients - grass-fed tallow, emu oil, and bovine colostrum.

The tallow is whipped, which means that the jar is mostly filled with air. After pressing down on the cream inside the jar, it was filled only about halfway. The price is very expensive for what you get. I have used many tallow creams, and this one is much different. This one is oily and did not absorb into my skin. Although it is labeled as unscented, be advised that it does in fact have a scent, which reminds me of leather or steak. Because of the oiliness and the scent, I will not use this on my face, but I intend to put this on my hands and night and cover with cotton gloves for moisturization.

This is my first time to use a tallow balm. The packaging is simple and has a handmade feel, which I like. I was shocked when I opened the container as this consistency is not exactly whipped. I’m guessing it just lost its consistency in the heat of being shipped and sitting in a mailbox.It has a slight meaty smell, which I’m rather neutral toward. It doesn’t bother me, but I don’t love it either. Initially, the balm felt a little greasy, but it absorbed right into my skin without leaving behind a lot of residue. I was immediately able to tell a difference in the softness of the skin to which it was applied.This price point is rather high for me based on the quantity that is received, but it might fit someone else’s budget.

Expensive but with the coupon option, I think it's worth it for a seemingly authentic tallow blend. I love the addition of the emu oil and am wondering if that is why this tallow takes longer to absorb than others I've used. I use this mostly at night and in the morning I feel great and not greasy. The addition of the colostrum is nice, and will give that added edge to the healing of chapped, sore, irritated skin. The glass jar is a must and I love the packaging all around for this product. It would make for a great gift. The tallow blend is whipped and while you may not feel like you're getting as much product, I do think it is easier to use this way. A little goes a long way and this is great for your entire body, especially your face.

Have not really received any benefits yet and my dogs will not leave me alone if I put this on. I have very dry patchy skin and have used multiple times with zero results.
