This will be my 2nd purchase of these boots, this time for my son who is about to embark on his own Dartmoor expedition with a few friends. Look you can spend a couple of hundred pounds finding the right boots for you and I would not condemn you for doing so as they are the most important thing to have when carrying a 40lb pack on your back for three days through rough terrain, bogs and mountains. My experience of these boots has been absolutely top notch. They have been used on three Dartmoor expeditions and always been amazing comfortable, dry, lightweight and brilliant in every scenario. I have used them fishing in the mud, running the line at football in winter and just walking the dog. I have been up to my ankles in mud and never had an issue with water ingress.This is probably due to the tongue system that is webbed to ankle height. I cannot recommend them highly enough and the cherry on top is the price. A real bargain.My pair are still going strong after six years.

Great boots - too big!
Fishtec have been a great company to deal with. My boots arrived promptly, in perfect condition and are exactly as described - warm, waterproof and comfortable - great for walking the dog through the mud - and they’re surprisingly light too. I love the fact that, although there are a lot of lace to do up, the hooks on the boot seem to snap the lace into position which makes it all so easy. My ONLY gripe, and the reason for 4* rather than 5, is that, for some extraordinary reason, TF Gear seem to think that no women want to buy these boots and the smallest size is a 6. I’m a 5, so have had to pad these out with extra liners etc. Really disappointing, but I have vaguely overcome it!

Good pair of boots.
Hubby really likes these books, they're not as warm as he'd hoped but with an extra thick pair of socks they're fine. They fit well, they're waterproof, seem hardwearing and are great for work.

EXCELLENT BOOT
Used them first time out in the forest the other day and could not believe how comfortable and dry they were.So light on the feet almost doesn't feel like wearing a good pair of boots.

not waterproof
great comfortable boots however on the first wearing with damp fields the water soaked straight in on one boot. I thought it was a one off however it happened again. Keeping the boots because they are so comfortable however in wetter conditions will have to find something else.

Great boots had to buy a size bigger though. First pair arrived promptly too small second pair took eight weeks to arrive not good

Get a size bigger.
I had to send the boots I bought from amazon back as they were too small. I bought the same boots from a local shop a size bigger. They are comfortable water proof boots. Time will tell for how well they last. I use them for walking the dog long distances so hopefully I get a year out of them.
