Had a problem with the waste pipe backing up occasionally when the water filtration system was doing regen/backwash. Took a little bit to install, and get it right but that was more user error than anything. It would be nice if they offered a longer sensor cord as I wanted to use that for our hot water heater which was in another room, but can use an audio extension cable to extend the reach or splice the cord. Also, no way to mount the control box, but heavy-duty Velcro worked very well

Exactly as described. Not an issue but needs to be near sn outlet or use sn extension cord . Also if putting in a heater drain pan has to be on something insulating. Doesnt work directly on metal pan

So the product is pretty well built. The servo/ball valves look to be high quality heavy construction. The wires to the sensors are very thin so I wouldn’t be too rough with them. The installation was kind of a pain. As most people have the hot/cold shutoff valves in my house are tucked inside the wall box. So there isn’t enough room in the box to just spin on the auto shutoff values (blue parts) so I had to find some female to male hose connectors that can be tightened without whole assembly needing to spin. So after all the connectors are on, the whole thing sticks out too far from the wall and is tight to back of the washing machine. So I wanted to just pull out the machine a few inches away from the back wall but it’s inside a leak pan that has no room to move. So in the end I had to Frankenstein up a bunch of connectors to bring the auto values above the height of my washing machine (no hiding the solution it’s there for all to see). I could have removed the pan since it’s probably no longer needed, but I figured belt and suspenders weren’t such a bad thing. If they had built the auto valves with spin on connectors that would have made this much easier and streamlined to install. I did test unit and it works well when exposed to water.

Install was easy, but there wasn’t any detail to be sure that I had the device in the proper flow direction. It should have arrows pointing in direction of flow.

This both an ALARM and SHUT OFF, direct electrical (battery is optional ) unit, does NOT work. There was substantial plumbing expense to link and attach plumbing (shut on & off) valve. Tested immediately. Sensors were easily activated when touched by hand (humidity). Quickly resolved by wearing gloves. Three (3) days later THIS product was RANDOMLY setting alarm in and shutting water valve Off. This again and again, despite following instructions to the letter RESETTING and opening water valve. The UNIT Repeatedly ALARMED & shut OFF water constantly

This was easy to install. I tested the product by placing some water and the alarm went off and it shut off the water in the water heater. Worth every penny.

It works fine once you get it installed. It has two female fixed threads which made it so it wasn't a straight bolt on. Having two fixed threads means you have to rotate the whole bulky assembly which requires significant space to install it. After two trips to the hardware store I was able to get it installed. If it had one fixed male thread and one rotating female thread it would have gotten five stars.

This product is great, but it’s important to note that the thread size isn’t compatible with UK standards. The 3/4" thread is NPT, not BSP. You’ll need to buy two of these at £14 each: **3/4" BSP x NPT Male Union Nipple Thread Joiner Adaptor** I ran into some confusion when I realized that the 3/4" thread only turns a few times before it stops, which isn’t right. Once I used the adapter, everything fit perfectly since NPT has a slight taper. Right now, I’m protecting my washing machine in an upstairs room—any leak would be a disaster, whether from piping or appliance failure. I got this as an "insurance policy"; it will shut off within 4 seconds if any water hits the sensor. So hopefully, the only leak will be what’s already in the machine. I also had to buy a new power supply since the original was for the US. Not sure what warmth means. Bench tested the valve and it worked as expected. Easy to install. Hopefully I never need it. The cable to the detector seems a bit flimsy I will have to protect it but otherwise seems fine
