The Numskull TMNT: Turtles In Time Collector's Edition mini arcade is an impressive collector’s piece for retro gaming enthusiasts and fans of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise. This 1/4 scale authentic wooden replica of the original Turtles In Time arcade machine is a faithful recreation of the 1991 classic, offering the same nostalgic gameplay with modern enhancements. Complete with the original ROM, rechargeable battery, and 3W speakers, this mini arcade successfully brings the full arcade experience to your home in a compact form. My Main Review: The design of the Numskull Quarter Arcade stands out as a meticulously crafted homage to the original Turtles In Time machine. The truly authentic wooden cabinet replicates the arcade's iconic artwork, buttons, and controls, giving it a premium feel that adds value to any collection. The 1/4 scale allows for convenient placement on a desk or display shelf, making it both a functional and decorative piece for retro enthusiasts. Gameplay: Gameplay is faithfully preserved through the use of the original ROM, delivering the same action-packed experience that players remember from the arcade. The controls, while smaller due to the machine's scale, are precise and responsive. What’s especially notable is that the mini arcade supports up to four players at once, replicating the classic multiplayer mode from the arcade version. However, given the limited space on the control panel, it can be difficult to manage multiple players at close quarters, even with small hands. Thankfully, Numskull has smartly integrated inl USB ports within the coin collection door, allowing players to connect external controllers and play comfortably at a distance—a thoughtful touch for those seeking a multiplayer experience. The 3W speakers are another highlight, delivering surprisingly good sound for such a small unit, enhancing the arcade’s sound effects and soundtrack. Additionally, the rechargeable battery offers flexibility, enabling players to move the arcade machine around without needing to keep it plugged in during gameplay, adding portability to the nostalgic arcade experience. Pros: 1. Authentic 1/4 scale replica of the original Turtles In Time arcade machine, complete with accurate artwork and controls. 2. Original ROM included, ensuring the same classic gameplay experience. 3. Supports up to 4 players, with USB ports to connect external controllers for more comfortable multiplayer sessions. 4. Rechargeable batter adds portability, allowing you to play without being tethered to an outlet. 5. High-quality 3W speakers, delivering excellent sound for a more immersive experience. 6. Compact and beautifully crafted, making it a perfect display piece for any retro gaming collection. 7. Durable wooden construction and vibrant display that enhances the nostalgic aesthetic of the game. Cons: 1. Tight controls for multiplayer, with the small control panel making it difficult to accommodate four players at once comfortably. 2. No HDMI output, a notable omission considering some mini arcade competitors offer this feature, allowing for gameplay on full-sized screens—a feature that would have been beneficial for those wanting a larger display option. 3. Small screen size, which may not be ideal for long gameplay sessions or those seeking a more immersive visual experience. 4. Premium price, which might be a bit high for some collectors given its size and limited features. My Conclusion: The Numskull Turtles In Time is an excellent addition to any retro gaming collection. Its detailed craftsmanship, authentic gameplay, and support for four-player multiplayer make it a fun and nostalgic way to relive the glory days of arcade gaming. However, the lack of HDMI output feels like a missed opportunity, especially considering that some competing mini arcades offer this feature for larger-screen play. Despite this, for fans of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and classic arcade gaming, this mini arcade is a worthy investment, combining nostalgia with high-quality design and portability. So despite the few flaws which to be honest is more of a wish list than issues so it doesn’t detract from its awesome presence it’s a formidable machine and an excellent talking point.

This is super cool. It looks exactly like a small version of the original arcade cabinet. I love how you press the spot where you would insert coins on an actual cabinet to get more lives. It's cooler looking than my small Arcade 1 up Mortal Kombat 2 cabinet. Arcade 1 up is better suited for actual using the controls but this one works. I play this but overall its more for looks. It looks awesome all lit up. It fits my pop culture/game Room perfectly. I love miniature things. I

It’s the TMNT game of the 80s/90s … made mini! Quarter Arcades are just an amazing, shrunk down version of the original cabinet. Yes, they can be expensive, but you’re paying for quality!
