These ice packs are so cool. Literally and figuratively. As a personal shopper for people it can be a challenge to keep that ice cream or anything frozen when the temp is over 100 degrees for almost 3 months in a row during the summer. I got these because of the size. They are nice and flat until you let them soak in water and the gel inside absorbs the water and expands. Then you just them into the freezer. After several hours, solid frozen ice balls. They work great placed in between items or anywhere you need something cold. I used 2 of them to ship chocolate by 3 day delivery. Chocolates made it just fine, no melting whatsoever and the temps were in the 90's. The size of these make them very versatile. They can be used for first aid, shipping, camping , etc. Super easy to use also.

The item I ordered is the perfect dimension and thickness for that purpose. The gel pack stays frozen longer than water packs, which is great. The fit and finish is nice, no split seams, food safe, fast freeze, non toxic, reusable, is rated for medical use. I can now hydrate three gel packs, wipe dry (follow instructions), freeze 8 hours, rotate as needed vs keeping a dozen cheap water filled cold packs in our freezer (taking up valuable freezer space).I normally only wrap the cold packs in a single layer, but this gel pack is colder so I will double wrap the gel pack to ensure no tissue damage. My physician/PCP is aware of my routine and has approved cold therapy treatment for extended use due to my medical condition, is aware that I use cold therapy to create a pain block. I am pointing this out because I don’t want someone to read my review and follow suit without first discussing treatment with their physician because improper use can cause permanent tissue damage.The description states stays cold up to 48 hours but that is inside an insulated cooler. It only stayed frozen for about three hours when I used it for pain management, which is normally long enough for it to create a pain block unless the pain is severe excruciating shooting pain down my legs from my lower back, then nothing works and I have to just ride it out.The suggested MSRP is reasonable, more so because some of my soft flexible large cold packs cost $ 20 each. These gel packs cleared up freezer space, do stay cold longer, is perfect size for me, meets my needs. Am giving it a 5 Star rating.

I used these on a road trip to keep my beer cold for basically 48 hours once I made the drive and to my camp site. The beer wasn't ice cold after that, but it was plenty cold enough to enjoy still.

However, I didn’t quite reach the full 24 hours mentioned in the product listing. To be fair, I used them during 100° weather and placed them in a cooler that had already been sitting in the sun, which likely affected their performance.Their slim profile is convenient—they fit neatly between items in the cooler without taking up too much space or leaving awkward gaps. I also found their compact size useful for lunch bags. When using a single pack in my lunch bag, it seemed to stay frozen even longer, likely due to the smaller, more insulated space.One thing to note: these do require a bit of preparation, as they need to be soaked before freezing. While this isn’t as quick as grabbing a bag of ice, they perform better than ice. Plus, they don’t leave behind melted water or risk leaking into improperly sealed food containers.

These little ice packs saved the day more than once already. They freeze quickly, stay cold for a long time, and are just the right size to tuck around drinks, snacks, or leftovers in a cooler. I used them for a beach day, a grocery store trip, and even tucked a few into a lunch bag for a picnic. No leaking, no big mess, just steady cooling that keeps everything fresh and safe. These are good gel-based ice packs. They are slim and need to be hydrated before they can be placed in the freezer to set. They hydrate quickly and I like that they can be dried out for long term storage, like the winter. They are fairly small, but maintain temperature well.

I got these because the flat plate style ice pack I had would not fit in my lunch cooler for work. These are really fun how you can expand them to the thickness you desire.They stay cold and frozen from about 8am until I return them to the freezer around 5pm.The small size lets me use multiple and I can put them around items or in the edges to really get good coverage of everything.

These are great ice packs as long as you are not too rough with them. It is actually pretty cool how thin and light they are in the package and then when you soak them in water for five minutes they swell up. They do not seem to leak water but I am sure they would be pretty easy to rupture when not frozen if you squeezed them too hard. I am using them in lunch bags and coolers when not packing heavy or sharp objects. If that is what you are looking for, then these ice packs will work great for you. And you can't beat the price--24 of them for less than ten bucks is a really great value. As long as you are aware of their small size and the fact that they are not super durable, you will be happy with the product.
