Hyper Pet Firehose Flyers Owl Durable Squeaky Dog Toy Grey 7.5 x 1.2 x 8.2 inches

This is RIDICULOUSLY expensive and my dog destroys it in a few hours, but I have bought it many many times because it is his favorite toy. The company needs to double stitch it for better durability! And lower the price!

I bought this knowing the arms and legs would be immediately ripped off by my pup... and they were. What I didn't expect was how easily she would be able to eviscerate the seems to get to the squeaker inside. The toy lasted all of 15 minutes before she completely shredded it. To be fair, it flew great the one time I through it, AND the firehose part is still a little intact, though nothing is left holding the two halves together. If the seaming had been made from firehose also, I think this would have been a winner, but unfortunately, that isn't the case. Don't waste your money if you have a serious chewer.

We got Owl last year for our dog, Carter. He loves chewing and can demolish a frozen marrow bone in 15 minutes or less. His joy is gutting plush toys and leaving small clouds of stuffing for the cats to chase. For some reason, he simply fell in love with Owl, after the other fire-hose toys had been disembowled. He has chewed off the wings and feet, of course, and carries Owl around the house in the evening, whining softly. Carter will "show"' us Owl, but will not give Owl to us. Last night after nearly a year, he finally dismantled owl, but today is still carrying her skin-suit about the house. I ordered up another today for Carter's Christmas. Let's see if he falls in love with this one, too!

Our 4 month old lab puppy loves this toy. The feet however were torn almost immediately. The vinyl face peeled off in a couple days. The squeak is not a high pitch squeak and quite refreshingly different squeak.. which i think helps keep our puppy interested in it.. Otherwise its been holding up to outdoor play Daily. We leave it outside all the time. We live in the Pacific Northeast.

I have a puppy who is a very aggressive chewer. She's not been able to make a dent in this yet and she's tried. Normally she unstuffs the toy to get to the squeaker but she's not been able to with this one which is AWESOME!!! Extra stars for cuteness. 4 paws up!

Well I was so excited and she was too, when it first came and it lasted for the first couple of days. It only took her about a week before she was able to destroy it down to the squeaker mechanism.

Our puppy loved it so much he destroyed it in less than an hour. Great toy, good design but needs to be more durable for aggressive chewers.

I ordered this thinking it was the same brand I had ordered before - a brand that stands up to my dog's teeth - but I made a mistake. And this toy did not last 10 minutes. First, the cute face on the toy is this vinyl/plastic paint and it was gone (as soon as your dog starts to mouth it) in a minute (probably down my dog's throat). Also, be aware that the "firehose" part of the toy involves this plastic-y paint on two sides. One side is black and the other is this gray. My dog chewed it open (very quickly, I might add, bc I watch him with toys b/c he's T-rex) and in the process, the black plastic-y inner stuff deteriorated into black flakes and went all over the place - and I know my dog ingested some bc he was vomiting bile in the morning (he never vomits). The gray plastic-y stuff also fell apart but in a different way. And the blue part is stringy when it's chewed so I had blue "grass" looking pieces all over the floor. My dog may be a bit aggressive with this teeth but I have found some toys that can stand up to his teeth. This one does not. And if a toy is going to fall apart, let's make it safe for the dog if it does. Having plastic paint flake and fall apart instantly is not safe. Oh - and, as usual, he killed the squeaker (which is large) in about 5 seconds. But that's par for the course with my guy, so I won't take off points for that. Outside of all that - it's really cute when brand new before your dog gets his mouth on it. Too bad!

I’ve read the other reviews that say this toy didn’t last, but I must say I’m impressed. I have two 60 pound dogs that like to tug of war and destroy toys. They usually destroy anything I buy within a day, but this one is still holding on two weeks in. The wings and feet have been ripped, but they can still grip the sides to play tug of war. I would definitely purchase this again.

If you have a dog that likes destroying vs playing, this is not the toy. If your dog just plays with things, this would be a good one to buy. Average in durability but the squeaker lasts longer than most dog toys. My power chewer destroyed it in 10 minutes.

My dad had this toy for one hour. She loved the squeaker and the toy itself is well made, but I did not like that the painted features of the toy (eyes) peeled off so easily!

My cockerspaniel aussie Shepard mix destroyed it in 5 min
