Rubbermaid Commercial Products BRUTE 55G Gray Vented Trash Container, for Landscapers/Construction Sites/Restaurants/Back of House/Offices/Warehouses/Commercial Environments

This product is very sturdy, a lot of space (55 gallons)! However, I think the price is a little expensive, considering you have to purchase the lid separately so I paid $140 for one garbage can and lid.

I bought 12 of these along with the bottom dollies (wheels) for one of our elementary schools. We put a couple of them in each hall and have the students empty the classroom wastebaskets into them. At night the custodian just wheels them outside to the dumpster and empties them. These hold a lot of garbage and are very, very durable. Actually when full of garbage they are too heavy to lift up and dump into the dumpster but we use can liners and just pull them out of the can. I'm sure they will last a long time. Buying on Amazon saved us money. They were less expensive than all the distributors in our area and anywhere else I looked online. Very happy with our purchase!

You've heard the saying that "you get what you pay for". This is one of those items. Rubbermaid has been a quality name in the industry and this garbage can is no different. I bought the base with the wheels for more maneuverability, and I also bought a lid that goes on the can. I'm very happy with my choice to spend a little extra $$$ for these items. The can was delivered very quickly, and in a big cardboard box. Buy with confidence.

This can was just what we needed. The quality is good and easy to move around. When I need another one, I will order this one!

I needed a good, large bin to load needles and cones into bags for disposal and this is IT. However, 55 gallon bags for this thing are NOT too common. Watch out because while there are a lot of 55 gallon bags out there on the shelves, they're made for 55 gallon drums that are smaller diameter and taller. Those bags don't fit. This BRUTE has a 26 1/2" diameter top and 33" tall. The way they measure bags is laid flat for a width and height measurement and it's not a 3D type measure. Most all of the big bags are only 36" wide. This BRUTE being 26 1/2" diameter means you need bags that are at least 41 1/2" x 33" ( (26.5 x 3.14)/2 ) or specifically noted that they are for use with this BRUTE 55gal container.

I bought the 55-gallon trash can, lid and dolly. If the twist-lock mechanism isn't engaged -- it's hard to position the can over the dolly to engage it -- the trashcan will tip over
