These work great for my application, needed to run electric fence with 3.5 inch metal post worked perfectly, well made would purchase again

got it put up , and hooked up the electric fence wire to it, need to run a wire up and over some pens, and so I needed to put an insulator in the roof, to anchor the wire, the bolt is about 8" long so was easy to attach drill my hole (put sealant on the base) and put in the hole and go under and run the nut up tight, (used a fender washer under the nut).worked well for my needs,

I used this insulator to anchor an overhead drop across my driveway with four #10 copper photovoltaic panel output wires, and one #6 ground wire, all supported by a braided aluminum cable tied to the insulator. The distance spanned was 46 feet. This has been through two hurricanes without incident, so I think the insulator has served admirably, although I understand some reviewers' concerns that it doesn't look sturdy enough. Winds from one hurricane snapped a water oak that was about 26 inches in diameter, and the tree was only 50 feet from the wires supported by the insulator.
