Is it a sustained burst of energy with a big crash, or do you gradually become more alert and come down slow?

Like all stimulants, it depends a lot on your tolerance. If you drink a lot of coffee or other energy drinks, it will be more mild, gradual, and no crash. If you don't drink much caffeine, it will feel like you got kicked by a horse in the face. Like all stimulants, it's also highly dependent on your size. I've built a tolerance and I'm a big guy, so it makes me more alert and then slowly wears off. I'm up to two bottles a day. It actually works pretty quickly, especially on an empty stomach, but I don't notice when it wears off because it's very gradual. Maybe start with a quarter bottle (0.5 oz) or less to start and see how you feel.

Hey - don't know what you mean by "validity" here, but I started using this brand a yr ago and not just because of cost. got to where 5 hr energy burned the hell out of my stomach plus I got sick of its rancid taste.
