I started reading about this brand of pans back in 2020, when I suddenly had lots of time, as did we all. I wanted non-stick, solid and nothing with the 'forever chemicals' that most non-sticks have. Ceramic coatings seemed to fragile and stainless would stick more. I was willing to tough it out with seasoning these Blue Carbon Steel pans and making them our long term pans. I think these pans might have worked if an unseasoned version had been available. The packaging was excellent. 5 stars for packaging. The pans seemed perfect, until I touched the inside surface. It was rough and reminded me instantly of an emery board. The enclosed instructions said they could be used right out of the box, but that additional seasoning would be beneficial. I followed the directions on the insert and cleaned, preheated on stove, oiled with high temp oil and baked for 1 hr @ 450. I assumed the imperfections would diminish. Didn't happen. After seasoning I tried frying an egg with butter and it could not have stuck more. Horrible. I researched their site and watched the video of their product person demonstrating how to season. This showed a cooktop method of seasoning, but required SCRUBBING the inside to remove prior seasoning first. Suggested was 10+ min of scrubbing. The demonstrator used a sponge with scrub side. I did the same thing for 20 min and the factory season barely budged. Still rough, but a bit smoother. I was exhausted and this was only the 8" frypan. I tried another egg fried in butter. It was a bit better, but still sticking. ***** 5 stars to Amazon process for the refund. I left a note in the box when shipping back so that if someone else was sent these that the history would be visible. Because of the good reviews, I can only assume that this was a defective batch of seasoned pans. I wish the unseasoned version had been available. Instructions say that the factory seasoning was a combination of shea butter and coconut oil. My personal skin shea butter has bits of material in it and maybe that is what went wrong at the factory. Won't know. If you order and the pans arrive rough inside, from my experience I would predict that there is no fix and it is part of the same bad batch.

These are good quality pans. However I wasn’t impressed with the seasoning. I can’t knock them for it as they’d be ridiculously expensive if they took to the time to put a very high quality seasoning on them. I’ve never had a factory carbon pan or cast iron that was up to my liking though. The only issue I see might be the heat conduction of the handle, It’s very thin so it will conduct heat from the pan quickly. Probably will pick up a set it silicone covers for a them.

awesome pans but handles do not dispel heat very well so get the specially designed handle pads

This is not in any way non-stick cookware. After 6 weeks of seasoning these skillets, using them, reseasoning them multiple times, using lots of fat to cook with, I give up. This picture was from last night’s stir-fry beef dish. Pathetic We bought these skillets wanting to avoid Teflon, feeling cast iron was too heavy. We gave them a good try, and regrettably, it’s too late to get our money back from Amazon. Do not buy these skillets. I wrote the previous portion of this review 4 months ago, and I am doubling down on what I wrote after frying 2 eggs this morning (see second picture). Without adding huge amounts of some kind of fat, these skillets stick like crazy. DO NOT BUY.
