cut it looks great in by bathroom
I mounted this on a model ships wheel. I had to cut out the insides of the wheel so you could get to the settings. It looks great in by bathroom. The clock is quiet too.

The following is my opinion and findings;Because you cannot see a back view, you can’t tell that this is a stamped out brass extrusion about the thickness of a dime. The movement is the plastic battery type found in most craft stores and inexpensive clocks. A close look at the face and other components seem to be cheaply made, I could not find MFG of origin ID. All in all, I would say its worth is around $39.00 or so but not in the 60’s. I could have returned it but they wanted me to pay the shipping, I paid shipping to get it and now to send it back? No way I’m spending $18.00 + for nothing. So here is the review and just think before you buy. I learned my lesson.

Fantastic.
Beautiful tide clock. We are in California and it has been keeping perfect track of high and low tides.

I felt like it should have been more substantial than it was.
I think I was expecting a product that felt a little more sturdy and substantial than this one actually felt in my hands. I thought "brass, built for a ship", and I expected it to feel accordingly solid and dense in my hands. of course when it's screwed into an instrument panel, as it will be, this impression will be largely superfluous, but that's how I felt when I took it out of its box.
