Best knife I’ve ever owned
I love the aesthetics of the original 110 but it’s a real lump to carry around in your pocket, and I’m not much of a belt holster kind of guy. This makes some small but important changes to the original, and winds up being pretty much the best pocketknife ever made. First, the addition of the thumb stud for one-handed opening makes it infinitely more useable. Then the lighter weight and thinner profile makes it easier to carry wherever you go. And the pocket clip and fancy high tech steel are the cherry on top. I put off buying it for years because I already had a 110, but I’m glad I finally pulled the trigger. It’s now one of my prized possessions.

Good knife
As with most buck knives this one has been good. I like the orange handle, easy to locate if it is set aside. The blade holds an edge very well and it is light weight. Worth having.

Solid solid knife wish I could keep it but
I can't in good conscience keep this wonderful knife as I have some american made spyderco's that do the same job and I want an s30v 105 Pathfinder that's 170 bucks...so, there is NOTHING I don't like about this. Little tiny thing is that I am super used to my spyderco's and I do ALOT of cutting around the farm. This one would be a beautiful piece next to my orange accented gshock and my KTM etc, But I can't afford to so I may have to wait for the less expensive version of this to be available. Love the knife, it's everything my spyderco's are, maybe stronger, and a better color!! I'm returning it tomorrow before I change my mind but you don't have to, so get it if you like it no fear!

Slim, lightweight and either pre-owned or boxed by a coal miner
I bought this because I was relieved of my prior blade by TSA when I forgot to remove it from my pocket. I’m not a fanboy, but I’ve always trusted and preferred Buck. This one has put a damper on that. The most noticeable issue was the casing. Definitely not the bright vibrant orange in the listing. Looks like it may be dirt or charcoal. Either way, it has clearly been handled with dirty hands. Not that it’s going to stay pristine but I would like the honor deflowering my own knife. Second issue. The edge. Definitely not sharpened to the standards of my prior Buck purchases. Honestly, had I looked at this in a shop, I would have left it on the counter. The last thing is the flip lug. If you are from Lilliputen or Munchkinland the lug may be perfect for your hands. Even with my wee Irish fingers, using the lug requires some uncomfortable and unstable handling to open. This is compounded by how stiff the blade is when opening. On the upside, it is lightweight and it is a slightly longer blade. For the money? I’d find something else.

Solid knife- improved over the previous version
No reviews yet, so I figured I would make an entry for my fellow knife fans or potential knife buyers. First off, I'm generally more of a fan of flipper knives with liner, frame or button locks. For EDC, I prefer speed and one handed opening/closing. I don't have a ton of lockback knives in my collection, and honestly very few Buck knives. But I do love that iconic Buck blade shape, and for a $100 USA-made folder with a more premium blade steel, I thought it would be worth a try. My overall thoughts: - I actually ordered the 112 by mistake, originally thinking I'd go with the larger blade on the 110. After receiving it though, the size of the 112 is much better suited to me for daily carry. -The G10 scales have a nice mild texture to them. Some may prefer a more aggressive feel, but I like a knife that won't get snagged on the way out of my pocket. -Buck did a nice job with the hardware. Screws are countersink perfectly with rounded caps and blend seamlessly into the grip. This time they actually have a torx head so you can disassemble it yourself for cleaning or maintenance. -The pocket clip is a deep carry, and actually looks good. I didn't purchase the previous version because the clip was, IMO absolutely heinous. This one is normal looking with good retention. -I noticed that interior surfaces of the blade and locking assembly were all nicely polished. That saves me a step in smoothing out the knife action and is a feature I don't see a lot on $100 knives. -The oversized thumb studs look a bit goofy but actually feel very helpful for one handed deployment, especially as you're working against the tension of the locking bat Generally, it was a bit stiff out of the box but improved with some cycling and a bit of oil. It feels sturdy, but note that it is a linerless knife, so you're likely to encounter some blade play. The advantage is a respectable weight that doesn't feel at all intrusive in my pocket. S30v is a nice steel, though if I had my drothers, I would prefer something like 20cv for daily use. If you're upgrading from a 440, Aus8, or similar steel you'll definitely appreciate it. If your already a fan of the 110/112 series and you want a version more practical for EDC, I think you're going to love it. 4 stars for now as I haven't really put it through it's paces.. but initial impressions are good.

Nice, solid, fun budget blade
Sure, this Buck knife might not come with the most impressive blade steel, but I, for one, think it's a good quality budget knife that's well constructed and has great action. In a way, it's kind of like a mini CJRB Pyrite. I purchased the full size stainless steel version at Walmart and was so impressed with that one that I decided to order this smaller version from Amazon. I do not regret either of those purchases at all. These are great EDC knives if you're on a budget. I should also add that it has a hollow grind, so even if the blade steel is not anything fancy it's still does a great job slicing and taking care of all your EDC cutting tasks. Peace and love.
