Product Description A collection of some of the funniest or most cringeworthy moments of contestant savaging by self-styled Queen of Mean, Anne Robinson, host of BBC's popular gameshow 'The Weakest Link'. Also hosting this compilation Anne shows us some of her contemporaries on foreign versions of the show, and some clips from the infamous celebrity edition of the show featuring Arabella Weir and Johnny Vegas. .co.uk Review The Weakest Link really is a cruel little quiz. Which is why it's compulsive viewing. Almost invariably the winner is the strategist with scant general knowledge and no great intellect, who rides on the coat tales of his or her brighter team-mates before ditching them at the last hurdle. Built up by the BBC as the answer to ITV's Who Wants to be a Millionnaire?, The Weakest Link is actually much better entertainment and it could well run forever--witness the speed with which television producers around the world have lifted the format without tinkering. Of course, its main selling point is Queen of Mean, Anne Robinson, on a constant mission to belittle her contestants and expose the poverty of their general knowledge. And most of them deserve what they get. Insults and Exits is a compilation of golden moments, back chatters and poor losers from the programme's momentous first year in 2001. It also features clips from some of the celebrity editions which expose the feet of clay of many television faces including EastEnders actors. It's a diverting hour for fans, who are likely to be kept well satisfied with a daily dose of the shrewd Armani-clad dominatrix Robinson and her trademark wink ("You are the weakest link. Goodbye.") for the foreseeable future. --Piers Ford

Does the woman never sleep!
I suppose one must give Ms. Widdicombe some credit for her industry. All those years of persistence and self promotion pedaling her opinions on local radio and television has finally paid off and she is given her own quizshow series. For any celeb weight watchers out there, this is Ann immediately following her time on Celebrity fat club as she is painfully thin. The show serves as the perfect vehicle for Ann who cleverly distracts contestants and the baiting audience from the lack of any cash prize by spoon feeding us with the voyeuristic titillation of an endless supply of masochistic participants who must endure Ann's rapier like caustic wit.For those fans of Ann who were disappointed that her 2005 Agony Aunt show, "Ann Widdicombe to the rescue" never took off, then you can currently see her on the BBC's Saturday night show Strictly Come Dancing, where she is successfully shifting the beef again.Quite how she found the time to carry out all this while still serving as an elected public servant is beyond me.
