I hope I don't have to use it.
So I feel this is one of those funny things that you can't actually review unless you've had to use it and thankfully I haven't had to use it. It does look legit and I think it is a good value for the size. A fire extinguisher is a good value no matter who you are or where you have it. Overall I think it is a good purchase!

Reliable protection, built for real emergencies.
The Kidde 2A10BC fire extinguisher set is a must-have for any serious safety plan. These commercial-grade units feel solid and professional, with clear labeling and easy-to-use handles. I appreciate that they’re rechargeable—smart for long-term use. Perfect for offices or classrooms where readiness matters. Peace of mind in a sturdy red canister.

high quality not-exactly-5 lb Class ABC dry chemical extinguisher…
NOTE: I had to do some careful reading to realize that this is NOT a 5-pound extinguisher despite somewhat similar size, weight and general appearance (see image). The PRO210 contains only 4 pounds of extinguishing agent (with a total filled weight over 6lb), compared to an extinguisher like the Kidde PRO340 — with 5 pounds of extinguishing agent (filled weight of 9lb) and rated as a 3A:40B:C extinguisher. The PRO210 is rated 2A:10B:C, so more effective on ordinary combustibles (wood and paper) than a 2.5lb extinguisher rated 1A:10B:C but not necessarily more capable against liquid and vapor fires. Not a mark against the extinguisher in any way — it is just important to not think you have more fire fighting capability in-hand than is actually available. I did not have a fire — nor extinguish one — for the purpose of this review. I merely examined the design, build, and finish of this standard size, UL-listed 2A,10B:C extinguisher from a reputable maker of quality fire safety products. This size is suitable for a household and work areas where a fire may involve a lot of wood or paper products — or on vehicles where a fire might involve adjacent vegetation, structures, or Class A cargo. A sturdy wall bracket is included with holes suitable for solid or hollow core mounting (you provide fasteners for your application). Note that this bracket is an open-hook design for stationary mounting, NOT suitable for mounting on portable equipment or vehicles (vehicle brackets with a securing strap can be obtained for this size extinguisher). Design is absolutely standard for an extinguisher of this type and size, with a short hose for projecting the extinguishing agent more effectively than waving the entire extinguisher around. Fit and finish appears excellent in all regards, and was delivered triple-packed (thin corrugated Kidde retail display box, inside a sturdy corrugated overpack from Kidde suitable for shipping, inside a standard oversize Amazon shipping box with the standard useless scrap of kraft packing paper). Build is stout — all aluminum or steel except for the plastic face of pressure gauge. It is more expensive than a similar extinguisher from First Alert, if you want to make a comparison (or about the same price as a First Alert 3A:40B:C extinguisher). It is a sturdy refillable build and rated for the types of fires most homeowners and businesses are most likely to encounter. Clear, bilingual label with care instructions, product specifications, and simplified use instructions (PLEASE become familiar with fire extinguisher use BEFORE you experience an uncontrolled fire — it’s not hard, but it may not be obvious). This model comes with a six-year warranty. Unlike many less expensive extinguishers, it may be professionally recharged after use if undamaged.

Every living space needs a fire extinguisher...
This is my review and experience with the Kidde Commercial-Grade Fire Extinguisher for Office, Schools, Rechargeable, 2A10BC CONTENTS… Fire extinguisher, wall hanger, fire extinguisher location sign, and an inspection tag WHAT I LIKED ABOUT IT…. • Six-year warranty • UL Listed • Rechargeable • Handles and valve are metal instead of plastic • QR code on side of the box to easily register the product • Good range of 12 to 18 feet for discharge of extinguisher • Inspection service tag included for monthly checks • Large Fire Extinguisher location tag 5” X 15” included • Not overly heavy at 6 ½ pounds • Metal wall hanger included • Extinguisher measurement of 7 ½” X 14” WHAT I DID NOT LIKE ABOUT IT… • No mounting hardware for the metal hanger CONCLUSION…. Who doesn’t need a fire extinguisher? Kidde has been producing them for over a century, and even if you already have one, it needs to be replaced every 10-12 years because it may no longer handle the pressure. Even if the gauge seems fine, the internal chemical agent can break down or solidify over time, making it ineffective. For me, this was a replacement... What are the ABCs of a fire extinguisher? A: Ordinary combustibles such as wood, paper, and cloth. B: Flammable liquids like gasoline, oil, and paint. C: Fires involving energized electrical equipment. What are the numbers of a fire extinguisher? For Class A fires, the number represents the equivalent amount of water needed to put out a fire, with each number equaling 1.25 gallons. 2A means it can handle a fire equivalent to 2.5 gallons of water. For Class B and C fires, the number indicates the number of square feet the extinguisher can handle. 10BC means it can extinguish a Class B or C fire covering 10 square feet. This multipurpose fire extinguisher is perfect for Class A, B, and C fires. Its powder works by coating the fuel, disrupting the fire's chemical reaction, and preventing it from reigniting. I give the Kidde fire extinguisher a 5-star rating for being ideal for spaces like a mid-size home bedroom, basement, garage, or family room.

Heavy duty and higher capacity.
I ordered this high quality and very well built unit to serve as the primary backup to my fire control sprinkler system. This unit fits very well in the metal bracket I ordered separately to hold it. The unit is well balanced and feels good in the hand. The controls are straight forward and well explained in the included instructions. The unit itself is fireproof and the level of security i feel is greatly enhanced with this extinguisher at the ready.
