Excellent mustard! Whole grain, delightful flavor but not overpowering. A hint of wine and great for basting chicken or fish just out of the jar. Perfect with any kind of cheese sandwiches or dipping hors d’oeuvres.

Great mustard for a great price. Tastes the same as it did decades ago. Great for sandwhiches (for those that like mustard), cooking, salad dressing and many other uses. Great texture and taste. Spicier than standard yellow mustard but not too spicy. Container is very well sealed. The plastic lid may be a lid hard for some to remove. But probably seals better than the old cork covers that used to come with this mustard a long time ago.

Hands down the BEST mustard in the world. A pound of this mustard doesn’t last long because you’ll be looking for excuses to use it. Perfect for salad dressings, deviled eggs, and sandwiches. In my house you can always find a pen or pencil because I have jars of them in these great stone jars left from my mustard purchases.

A hairline crack led to a large chip in the rim when I tried to open the crock. And upon tasting the mustard, I realized that this impulse purchase was a bad idea. Buy it in a store, if you like vinegar.

Let me begin by saying that I find mustard just OK, generally, and I’m not typically a fan of spicy food. Having said that,I’ve eaten this mustard for many years, more years than I can count. The quality is fantastic and insurmountable. This is a mustard you could eat straight from the jar, it’s so freaking good. It has just the right amount of spice, the right amount of vinegar, it’s absolutely perfect. I use this on anything I want to put mustard on - from gourmet foods to hotdogs to eating it straight out of the jar. It’s just wonderful. I’ve never had a bad jar, either. The heavy stone crockery jars are very heavy & durable and you can easily reuse them afterward for other things. If you’re looking for a top worldwide mustard, one that will ruin you for any other mustard, you want this one.

From past experience I know that this mustard is delicious. In this instance, the jar was quite filthy, with dried mustard on the label, and brown stains on the bottom. The jar was well sealed.

First like others have said that lid is a beast to get off. I am 6 feet tall and 250 pounds and I barely am able to get it on and off. Hopefully it loosens up. The crock is better than I was expecting. The mustard looks different than the ones you get at trader joes and such but actually tastes very good. If it goes bad or anything like that will update my review but for now it is a very good purchase and you get enough that you can put quite a bit on. I really only use this when I am eating sausage so should last quite a while
