Travelling in style
There’s a dog in my bag !I have used this bag for a while now and decided to change the stars from 4 to 5 as the tether was too long. However, I was able to shorten the tether (a knot) which has made it difficult for the pup to “escape”. The bag still looks new and I have received many complements. I am pleased that the bag doesn’t collapse in the centre when the pup moves around. This is a well constructed bag. After reading several reviews I decided to opt for the medium size for my 5lb Pomeranian. He prefers to stand when we are out, so the bag’s height (12.5”) works great. There is sufficient room in the bag for sitting and “relax”. The handles are long enough to make it easy to carry on your shoulder. The opening is big enough to accommodate the pup’s fur, however the opening is a bit on the larger size. There is an adjustable safety tether to attach the harness, however the puppy was able to get out of the bag. I will have to find a work around for this.Overall, this is a lovely, elegant and well constructed bag. I have downgraded the rating because my Pom is able to get of the opening. It would have been nice to have feet on the bottom to keep the leather from getting « scruffy » should you need to put it on the floor.

A MUST HAVE!
This bag is an absolute MUST HAVE for any small puppy owner. Seriously - if you want to make your life easier, you need this tote bag. I got the large size for my 5 month old Miniature Dachshund in hopes she can still fit into it as she grows - so far it's seeming like the size will be absolutely perfect. The quality of this bag is absolutely amazing... it's very sturdy and high quality and definitely looks the part of a classy high-end bag. I love that there are enough pockets to hold both your personal items (wallet, phone, sunglasses) AND some stuff for your pet (a leash, treats, a toy or two, etc). The thing I love most about this bag is how easy it makes bringing my pup to a restaurant - I can set the bag down on the ground and she still feels comfortable (instead of having to lay down on a hard floor of a place she isn't familiar with). I also love that I can clip her harness to the bag so she stays secure and I don't have to worry about her getting out. I recommend adding in a fluffy blanket to make it extra cozy - my dog really loves it in there!Running errands is super easy with this bag as well - especially when bringing puppies to new places they might be nervous about. I took my puppy to a super crowded outdoor mall for a few hours and she was so calm and curious - mostly because she got to observe the new environment from the comfort of her cozy little spot in her Django bag :) A really great tool for socialization, especially if your pup isn't fully vaccinated yet!

Medium size is a very tight fit for a “mini” dachshund
I love this brand, and was excited about this bag (still am!).Pro’s: very sturdy, well-made and nice-looking. I like the extra pockets to stash mommy’s things and Luigi’s things! Solid, hard bottom to the bag for support for my little dude and I love the buckle inside to help him stay put. BEST feature is the low scoop of the head/neck opening that accommodates his short little legs to allow him to he comfy and relaxed and still not miss a second of the action!Con: the medium bag is surprisingly short- it fits my “miniature” (but often mistaken for a standard, so he is a little longer than most minis and leans on the husky side - for perspective) with not room for a single extra hair from his chest to butt. I was surprised even pulling it out of the box and my first thought was “there’s no way” … there was a way, it’s just a heckuva close fit. Measure up first and maybe aim on the larger side if you have a standard ween.

Great Bag for Dachshunds!
I initially held off on purchasing this bag because of the price point. I have a “tweenie” sized dachshund, she’s on the larger end of a mini, but after trying about 6 other lower cost bags that claimed they would fit her length, nothing was large enough for her. I ordered this bag to try after reading reviews that it worked for other Doxies with the mindset “it probably won’t work but it’s returnable” and the Large bag was perfect! It is long enough for Lily to fit it with even an inch or 2 to spare in length. I added a towel on the bottom just to give her a little more height, but that is just a personal preference. The quality is great and I really love that it has all the storage pockets on the outside so I don’t have to carry a purse as well for my own belongings. I can’t speak to how it will hold up in the long run yet, but it definitely seems well made! Since I have to bring Lily with out with me pretty frequently, it is definitely worth the investment!

not for a boston terrier pup
i had a lot of problem getting my dog into the bag. once i did he jumped out and landed on the table. thankfully not injured. cute but not for us. seemed well made. has a place to attach the leash but he was out of there so fast.

Not for puppies
Expensive, beautiful, heavy, cumbersome. If you don’t have a long dog it will tip forward. This is for dogs longer than a foot. I walked half a mile with my 5 lbd dog inside and the muscle connecting my neck to my shoulder was hurting the next day. The canvas is quality the leather as well but this makes for a heavy bag and there is no crossbody wear option. For the price I would have liked D rings on each to add my own padded strap and snap closures to close the head hole as my dog spills out of the hole with the weight being forward. It requires constrain adjustment. The shoulderpad that snaps around the handles is also cumbersome requiring you to put the bag down and closing them and it’s a tight fit. I would recommend for a Weiner dog that is already trained to be in a bag. Not a puppy or a dog under a foot.
