Is this grass good for the winter or the summer?

This is a great cool season grass mix. Like all grass types, if the soil is healthy and moist, then it does well in the summer. Likewise in the winter, mow low before the first snowfall and put down Winter Survival for best results next spring.

What is the seed mixture/ratio?

They don't specify what ratio the mixture is all they tell you is its a mixture of Black Beauty Tall Fescues and Perennial Ryegrass. I can tell you that whatever the ratio is, it works great...good luck

Is this per safe should they eat any or get it in their paws?

Please contact the supplier. I have no idea if a dog and/or cat would have problems by eating it by accident. It is a good growing grass. Animals do walk on grass. So do people and children. Wouldn't think that they would make a grass that would harm anyone - that is animal or human.
