Extra I/O speed for an older system
I bought this for an old server board which is limited to SATA 2 for its drive connections. The BIOS won't let me boot from this card, but since I'm a Linux user it isn't an issue. I have /boot mounted on a SATA SSD and root on this NVMe so all applications, libraries and configuration files get a welcome boost in read / write speed. Happy with the gains. The card comes with everything you'll need. High and low profile brackets as well as screws.

Plug and play giving full nvme speeds
Needed this to clone an nvme drive - both my M.2 slots are occupied. Comes with both half-height and full-height brackets and all screws needed to mount the drives. Covers SATA as well as nvme - one slot for each.Plugged this in and the new drive was recognized by Windows immediately (but had to initialize it with disk management tools, as usual). Cloning completed without issue and, under testing, I got the full advertised read and write speeds.Cheap, cheerful, and got the job done.

May have been reponsible for system instability - purchase with caution
So, on the face of it this kit is decent. I use it with NVMe to get extra drives in the system, limited to 'just' 3 slots on the motherboard. Now, my previous rig had just two slots so I used two of these cards and, as far as I know, I had no issues with that, but I won't lie and say the system was trouble free. However, after some solid use of the new system, I started getting crashes. Blue screen, lock ups, etc. Had no idea of the cause.I stripped parts out, including this card, and the problems vanished instantly. Soon as I put this card back in, I got a lock up.I mean, who would expect a cheap £12 card to cause issues, right....Several days on, nearly a week, and zero issues but it's not definitive yet.So to sum up - when it works and your system isn't crashing like a b*tch from it, this is a neat and tidy piece of kit. And will give you full speed on your NVMes or whatever drives you have on it. But it may well cause system failure, and while I haven't 100% concluded it was the issue, it probably was.And that's definitely a problem.

Perfect, no problems
Easy to install, no instructions how to put together but rather self-explanatory, great little adapter.

No instructions or clear compatibility
No instructions, unclear what compatibility is. It didn’t work for me with my M2.
