Our grandson loved the gift of the outdoor adventure kit. He immediately dove in, put the hat on, backpack with all the supplies and headed out the door with his walkie talkie. I was impressed that the walkie talkies self shutoff, so the batteries don't run out from being left on. And the quality of them was better than expected. Great kit and lasting fun without being just another toy in the box.

I purchased this for my 7-year-old grandson. He loves the outdoors and pretending to "survive" in the wild. I thought it would be a cute gift to expand on his imagination. Looking forward to seeing his reaction on Christmas!

This is such a great idea for any kid who is outdoor oriented. Everything you would want in an outdoor kit. Keep in mind, this is still just a toy and the components of the kit are certainly adequate for say a 10 year old, but nothing more. It is also probably a bit of a stretch for kids over 10. I think older kids need more of a tool rather than a toy, but that’s just my opinion. Nevertheless, it all works great and is something my 10 year old will love. The radios are something that will get hours of usage for sure. I am pretty happy with it and will update as my son plays around with it. As far as value goes, it is probably a little over priced. With that said, if you tried to purchase all the items individually you would spend more, but you would also get higher quality items. Perfect for 7-10 yr olds.

It was a well appreciated by the kid that received it and that's all that matters.

For the money this is a great little kit. The walkie talkies are easy to set up (4 nos AAA batteries each are not included in the box) and fun to use. Compass is nice, and the soft, squishy water bottle is neat. The only downside is the binoculars are fixed focus and there is no dioptic adjustment for the short sighted.
