I Beyond Love IT!
I've been buying electric fryers, stove fryers and nothing works. I had an old aluminum fryer that you put on the stove and it made the best French fries, I paid around $2.50 for it in 1967 in a grocery store. I finally put it to rest it was getting so ugly and I am sorry I did. The uglier it gets the better it cooks! No product came close not even Gorham Steel fryers, Expensive is not better. The French fries look great until you take them on and in a minute they are limp and just not cooked right. I used this last night and in 3 minutes (in the oil) they were done, I was afraid to take them out or leave them in but they were browning so I took them out - they were cooked though and tasted great! I couldn't keep my husband out of them. They did get a little soft. I have to experiment with it I'm making them again tonight with a few changes on my cooking process to work on the crisp part and timing. If anyone has suggestions I'd love to here it. I couldn't be more pleased. It's so wide that the fries are not all bunched up on each other and cook evenly and fast. It's good quality and will last longer than my 1967 one. Aluminum is the way to go. Can't wait to try Chicken.

Great for home bulk deep frying
This is a good little home deep fryer. I got it because of the removable basket and the ease of doing bulk onion rings/chicken wings. The little nubs on the bottom of the removable basket keep it from sitting directly on the bottom of the pan so you have a little extra time before your chicken is sitting in the flower sludge that collects at the bottom of the oil. It does feel a bit cheap and flimsy. It’s already dented from a couple of times I was a little too rough with it. But over all it is a great value for your money and it works very well for large batches of anything deep-fried

Works well
Product as described but I wish there was more space between the pot and basket so I could easily clip my thermometer to it

Great Product
I purchased this to use on our outdoor burners for fish frying. Absolutely perfect! Great quality, perfect size & weight, even heating and easy cleanup. The basket handle stays nice and cool. Highly recommend!

PERFECT SIZE!!
I use my fryer for one thing and one thing only. WINGS!! Nothing better on a nice day with some sports than some hot wings. I figured the deep pots that come standard with fryers were a little big and a waste on oil. So I found this pot and its perfect!! It will hold a standard 3 pound bag of wings from the grocery store PERFECTLY and is so much easier to clean because its not so big and bulky like the huge turkey pots. Pot and basket even fit in the dish washer, only washed them twice so not sure on wear and tear of numerous washes but so far so good. The basket is higher quality than I expected it to be and has a tab to hook it on the side of the pot which is convenient as well. GREAT BUY! HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR WING LOVERS!!!

I do recommend that Splatter Screen with this -- you can lower ...
This, plus KitchenBasix 13" Splatter Screen makes for superb frying. I didn't really calculate it being this humongous, as I'm using it in the kitchen and not for camping. But that's been perfectly okay.. The max fill level seems a bit low, but so far that hasn't been an issue at all either. I needed to bend the metal lip at the base of the basket handle at bit so the basket would clip snugly to the pot, and might do that some more.. You can see another review where that is illustrated... If you clip the basket to the pot and there's food in the basket, it will probably lean into the oil if you don't bend/tighten it... That said, this could be how it's supposed to happen and I just don't know what I'm doing... But the Splatter Screen also acts as a holder/stand so that too is no issue at all... I do recommend that Splatter Screen with this -- you can lower the basket with no worries about melting flesh or getting greasy gunk all over the place

Not what I expected
The first time I ordered this pot it was received badly damaged - it had a huge dent in one side and was completely unusable. However, Amazon customer service was great once I was able to get in contact with someone. I tried fist reaching them by telephone but they were unable to help me due to computer issues on their end, and they never called me back as promised. I eventually was able to chat with a representative online and they immediately sent a new pot out to me for next day delivery and has UPS come by to pick up the damaged one. I thought this was a pot I could use on the stove top for frying, but it was much bigger around than the burners on my stove. It took forever to heat up and was not able to maintain a high temperature. I replaced this with a Hamilton Beach large capacity deep fryer which has been excellent! Love, love, love it! Wish I had bought it to start with instead of this pot. Deep Fryer

This pot is just the right size to fit on our turkey fryer. Great for french fries or fish, does not require nearly as much oil and is easier to get what your cooking out with the insert. Came on time and is as described.

Great fryer! Well priced! Professional packaging! Fast delivery! If this is exactly what you’re looking for then get it. I like the way it’s made and the way it looks. The basket will not get any of your fried foods stuck in the mesh unlike the traditional home deep fryers will all know of. It’s good for small batches of fries as good as it is for medium to large batches as well. The only thing about it is that you’re going to need some space in your kitchen to keep it stored. I keep mine in my 24 inche bachelor stove and it takes up almost all the space. It’s 15 inches from one end of the edge of the handle to the other. The measurements in the description are all incorrect. Above all it’s still worth having and easy to clean accept that you may be using the bath tube for more space like I usually do lol. Thank you Bayou Classic!

I bought this a couple of years ago and have done countless bags of potatoes. Never fill the pot above the max oil fill line, never put fries in wet, always lower the fries in slowly. I use a silicone oven glove on my hand as I lower the fries into the cooker to prevent oil splashes from burning my hand Our secret to awesome fries is - peel and slice potatoes . We slice into 1/4 fries - then let them soak for a few hours. This gets rid of the starch which makes the fries yucky. Keep changing water to remove starch. Once the starch is gone your fries will come out crispy - drain water and towel dry the fries. If water or moisture gets in the fryer then you will have a boil over and a fire -get your oil hot 380-400 then slowly put the fries in the oil. Make sure oil is always hot before putting fries in. - pre cook them for about 10 minutes. Or just until they START to get brown. - pre cook all the fries. We normally cook a lot of fries because of the number of guests - when everyone is almost ready to eat heat the oil to 380-400 and finish cooking. The final cooking stage will only take a few minutes. - cook to till you are satisfied Fries will come out great
