Decent all around knives
Upgrading to 5 stars from 4. It's 2021 and I'm still enjoying these. Sharp knives. Already cut myself! Lol! Seems to be a good product. For the price, I'm content. Shipping info was essentially unavailable but it showed up in a very damaged outside box but knives were fine. Delivery was within stated time. Would order these again as a gift. Worked in the rez business so having inexpensive good knives are important. Still do private catering, etc. I think these knives were a good purchase! With this set, I have close to a hundred knives now! Upgrading to 5 stars.....It's 2021 and I'm still enjoying these.

Unusable even for practice Sushi learning.
Despite the skeptic view I had for such a cheap set, I decided to purchase the knives so that I could finally learn the art of Sushi making. The package arrived in good condition and the shipping was quick. This is where the positives end. These knives are basic bare bones stainless steel. They are not hand made and are simple cookie cutter press-cut steel blanks of the same quality you will find in a department store Fabreware block set. The knives are NOT straight and bow from hilt to point. This makes any straight or precise draw back slice uneven and unreliable and also presents a danger to anyone using it. I am unsure how people generally measure their acceptance of a blade edge or how they judge something to be razor sharp....but they fail in both aspects. The edges are not in eastern accordance and clearly have a 16-22 degree machined edge. It is also apparent that these knuves were not honed previous to quality inspection. A true honed refined hand edge will cleanly cut away arm hair with the slightest of swipes against your forearm, a test ANY real cutlery expert will perform before even attempting to use a knife to any degree. The handles are cheap resin and offer no resistance to slipping while in use. There is no consistency in either the pattern, quality or size of the handles. The handles alone are bulky and far too light to offer any balance between the knife. Overall I got what I paid for. A set of knives that I should melt down to something more usefull. Buyer beware, if you want to learn the art of Sushi making without breaking the bank....don't. If your serious about learning to make it then spend the average $100-$150 on a true basic REAL set of knives to learn with.

The knives arrived, they were as expected, reasonable quality for the price, but razor sharp, I hope they could hold the edge a reasonable time. These that arrived have plastic handle, one of them (Yanagiba or looks like) came with the handle lightly deformated.

I don't expect quality for the price, but these knives are disgustingly cheap. Two of the knives were stained with rust after one night being in the sink. I returned this the next day.

PLASTIC HANDLES!!!!
Really nice and sharp blades, but the handles are PLASTIC!!! Handles are NOT BAMBOO as advertised. It makes the knives feel cheap and flimsy...huge disappointment!

Thumbs up. 😉
I know these knives are great on price. I'm a professional chef and wanted some knock around knives. These knives have proven better than I thought. Great for sushi and cutting fish. A few day of using them, there sharpens proved it's self to me. I cut a nice chunk on my thumb off and landed me in the ER. These knives are legit and great for professional and home kitchen use.
