About 40 years ago we had a toaster (don't recall the brand) that was great, but after lots of use it finally gave up the ghost. Since then, every toaster we've had just hasn't been as good. The toaster we were using right before this one was particularly horrid. If you wanted toast, you either got warm bread or burnt bread, but never a nice slice of toast. It was something we just had to put up with. Then, during this year's Prime Days I was doing a *lot* of shopping/buying on Amazon. I wasn't even looking for a toaster, but somehow this one ended up in my "suggested" area. Although we don't have a Wolf stove/oven, I know they are excellent, and the price on the Wolf toaster was acceptable to me, so I thought, "what the heck, I might as well." This toaster is AWESOME. The sourdough bread comes out perfectly toasted. And my husband likes to toast an uncut bagel, which this toaster can handle perfectly. I am so, so happy that I purchased this!

Over the past 15 years I have had a number of Dualit toasters. I still like their design (aluminum exterior shows no fingerprints, manual toast elevator is great for "catapulting" out small items, visible timer makes it easy to determine if the remaining cooking time is sufficient or excessive), but they tend to break and while parts are available for the home repairman, it is still a pain. I have not had a Wolf toaster nearly as long (4 months), so I have no idea about reliability. However, I can say that the quality of the toast is better than any Dualit I have ever had, and I have had plenty. The very wide slots make it easy to fish out smaller items (no "catapulting" necessary) and are large enough to accommodate hamburger buns ("bagel" feature makes it possible to toast only the inside of the bun halves). The only minor negative is that care has to be used when inserting very very thin items, as they might slip through the bottom support of the toaster slot before being secured by the self-centering slot walls when lowering the bread to be toasted. Otherwise, it is great so far.

I have been very happy with this purchase. I use it every day and am satisfied with the toasting results. Unlike my previous toasters, this one is well-made & easy to clean. Most of all, I love the way it looks!

The Wolf two-slicer we purchased has been very satisfactory. Well constructed, with a solid feeling timer knob and push-down mechanism. It is definitely a bit heftier that consumer-grade toasters, but not truly heavy like a commercial kitchen grade unit which would have thicker stainless steel. The only negative, though not seriously bad but a bit surprising, is that slices and bagels, english muffins all need as much time to toast as any of the consumer grade toasters we previously owned. Maybe that's a good thing, as hotter wiring may make it trickier for most folks to toast without burning.

There are so many poorly designed toasters on the market, even from respectable brands. We tried several but none compared in design, durability and performance to this model. Regardless of whether you get the 2-slice or 4-slice model, you will be getting the best toaster on the market. Wolf is a premium brand so this is an expensive product, but this a real case of you get what you pay for. We are thrilled with it. Handles bagels and one slice loads perfectly. Adjusts for frozen items. Solid construction. Heats consistently. Excellent controls. Get one!

Excellent toaster, so well-made. Toasts waffles and bread beautifully, quiet,easy to use, has a side removable crumb tray. love the wide slots. Easily toasts Texas toast, bagels, and waffles evenly on both sides. Quality and worth every penny.

Love the look and stance of this toaster. The bottom tray is well designed and the slots are extra wide. When you use the controls, the quality is apparent. And then there is the iconic red knob…well worth the price and a definitive must for those who collect wolves.
