Lifetime 0023 Basketball In-Ground Sleeve for Existing 3.5" Round Pole

Assembly went fine. Did 90% of it myself but needed help getting it in the base at the end. Definitely not “easy” to assemble by yourself though, a lot of balancing.Works great, my 7yo and I have had a lot of fun. Only thing I ran into was the location, the afternoon sun reflects off the backboard really strong so it’s blinding certain times of day, but that’s my own fault I guess.Great value!

The sleeve fit the three and on half pole perfectly and was easy to install by using provided instructions. Great sleeve if you need to remove basketball pole for any reason as it requires little effort other than the weight of the system itself.Great buy and quality

If you ever want to change out the cheaper model for a more expensive one, then this will be a must have, or if you have the expensive model and want to take it with you, tadah! Or if you just want to remove it out of the way temporarily, yep, you need this! The Lifetime poles all fit right into this. Put it in the ground first when you poor your concrete, do it carefully so no concrete gets inside of the inner part and you use one pole insert to set it straight with a level and you set a brick or rock under it as a base to the correct height. There is a set screw to keep the pole from turning. I even put 2 inches of dirt over the concrete and planted grass. Can't tell its down there. I did caulk the slot all the way around so water would not run down the inside. But if I ever want to move it, take it, upgrade it, or just get rid if the hoop, I can so easily now.

It is a good sturdy piece of equipment. Don’t buy it if you have no plans to remove the basketball pole which requires more than 1 person and is a little bit of a hassle. Sleeve is 16 inches but the pole I purchased that recommended this sleeve is only supposed to go in the ground or the sleeve 14.5 inches. Not sure how the pole is supposed to sit secure when there is an 1.5 inches of space between the bottom of the pole and the bottom of the sleeve. Also you need to allow for drainage at the bottom of the sleeve or you’re going to have water in it and it will eventually deteriorate. I neglected this and I’m sure I’ll pay for it X amount of years down the road. You can’t fix it unless you break the cement all up around it and do it all over. Just things to think about if you want a removable pole.

waste of money, should have not bought it. the little metal tab with screw does not secure well so that when you dunk or hit the hoop, it moves to left or right. NOT COOL!plus it is gonna rust with the gap. went 24” down, used rebar, piece of junk

my basketball pole broke in the hurricane, and this was a very easy fix so i did not have to replace the entire pole

It worked great for almost 7 years, water get into the sleeve and the sleeve will eventually rust and merge the pole and sleeve together. This makes it impossible to remove the pole
