Positive: the movement is very quiet and super smooth so far (few weeks of use), moving the incline is a little loudFrom a pure exercise perspective, this thing is great but if you consider the XIR console.... keep reading!The machine by itself is probably 4-5 stars.Negative (all related to XIR console):1. SCREEN: the display must be a VA or TN panel (bad and cheap), when your head bounces/moves the brightness and colors shift. I think that is unacceptable. At least give me an option to upgrade to an IPS or even better OLED screen. This screen makes watching video much less enjoyable!2. Console Responsiveness: it feels SLOW, like 5+ years old cheap Android tablet slow!3. Apps: VERY limited amount of Apps, no app store. Wish they would support Xfinity Stream or other live TV streaming apps and other TV providers.My advice:Consumer: Get the cheapest console for the machine and strap your tablet on top with a mount.Matrix: upgrade the CPU to a recent Snapdragon, use an IPS screen, use a customized Android version as OS.

The mag system that controls the resistance broke after a month. Very disappointing b/c I paid a ton for this and while I was willing to pay that much (or more) for a solid product, the fact that it does not work after a month is not acceptable. The company is going to fix it once parts are in stock, but I dont know what that means for time. Not acceptable.

Last week, I purchased the A50 with xir console. I've been using ellipticals for my cardio workout for the past 30 years due to meniscus repairs in both knees from running. Recently, one of my knees has been re-injured requiring a possible knee replacement. I tried the A50 at the store and was impressed by the motion. After purchasing and completing several workouts, I can truly say this is the best elliptical mechanism I've ever used. I liken the motion to running in a swimming pool, but with the ability to change elevation and resistance. In my right knee, I have periodic piercing pain while walking downstairs. With this elliptical, I have absolutely no pain. The XIR console is 'okay'....but, I do love the virtual video that allows you to feel like you are running in the mountains, along the coast, etc. with the elevation/resistance changing to mimic the scenery. I highly recommend this machine for anyone with chronic knee problems.Great machine…but, not very reliable. Second major repair in 2 years. I had my Precore for 15 years without a single issue…reducing rating from 5 to 3…
