For classic performance it is tough to beat the Terramar polypropylene bottom. The lightweight long base layer bottom provides excellent moisture management for a variety of outdoor aerobic activities. Ideal for hiking, skiing, skating, snowshoeing and all water sports. The "original" performance synthetic fabric, polypropylene has long proved itself as a reliable, breathable and quick drying staple for any layering system.

Reviewed Previously. Subtracting another star upon reflection.
I gave a 4 star review of these bottoms last month. I was, and continue to be stoked by their performance, which in my estimation exceeds their stated goals. My subtraction of stars concerns fit... I bought these bottoms at a bargain basement price (my way of testing their (polypropylene) worth). Was so pleased I bought a matching woman's top. Both fit me without any expected alterations, but both should fit someone far bigger and taller than me, hence my concern. Just seems wrong to do to people... Pics provided are as photographed on myself, a woman's size small (2-4), and actual measurements of the bottoms. Pics of the top measurements can be found on my review of the top. These bottoms are sized Tall XL. Yes they were blessedly long enough for me until I doubled over the waistband to fit me. They then came right to above my ankles. The actual inseam measurement is 29". That is NOT a 'Tall XL'. So. Yes, they keep you warm. How to decide what size might fit you? Priceless, right? Terramar should've supplied these measurements. Hope this helps... Happy winter fun in the snow.

Continued to be impressed by this brand
Not being a super athlete or Marvel comic book character I tend to like my clothes to be comfortable. I'm not sure who invented the slim athletic fit or why people like it. 32 waist and 5 foot 10 and the Large is what I call comfortable. Though the medium fits, I'm not climbing a mountain in Nepal anytime soon and whatever the benefit of a skin tight fit is.....I don't really need it.Like all my Terramar purchases, excellent quality and great price.

Once a classic, always a classic! THE perfect active-sports longies.
I am 72, 6'3", and weigh 200 lbs. The XLs fit perfectly. I have a pair of Terramar polypro long johns that have to be 25 years old. I love that they fit so comfortably - just snug but not tight - and are a perfect weight for vigorous to strenuous activities outside. They have seen me through xc ski marathon races, long rollerski sessions, bike rides on bitter days, and a host of other outdoor activities.I bought two pair of these new ones hoping they would be more or less the same. My prayers were answered; they are essentially identical. To me, they are perfect. All the more so because for some reason they were much cheaper than the 20-year-old pair. Truly, what is not to like?I have suffered through multiple pairs of today's sausage casing pantyhose-type longies, and man, what a difference! The Terramars just disappear. I can't even feel that they're on. I'm inclined to buy a dozen pair and squirrel them away to replace those that wear out - except so far I've found that they never wear out!

Fit and warm
The quality seems good, they fit the way I envisioned, and they do provide warmth as intended. My only complaint is that although they’re sold as “lightweight” I would easily say they’re on the thicker side of the many pairs of long underwear I have owned over the years. These are at least mid-weight. I bought them to fit under jeans for everyday wear during the winter during my normal routine. They’re too thick for that. They make the jeans a bit too tight. I wore them skiing instead and they are good under my ski gear. So I would have given 5 stars except they are jus too thick of fabric for my intended use. Not a bad product overall if the description was more accurate.

Comfortable, not too hot or bulky
These are great for cold winter days in urban Minnesota (not just outdoors, but also in the living room of our 1909 house). They're thin enough to fit under ordinary trousers. This is the second time I've bought Terramar long undies, and the one ones are still in perfect shape after four or five winters.

Great Product
Being 6'6" tall, the extra long length of this pant is a blessing. Most base layers won't reach my sock tops, much less my ankles. These are long, reach my ankles and were super comfortable to wear. I generally wear them with my Scout Leader Uniform doing winter activities to stay warm.

Awesome.
These are so warm and so light at once its truly amazing. I frame houses and I get caught out in 10 degree weather with nothing on my legs but these and a pair of blue jeans and I feel great. I don't recommend them if you're standing or sitting but if you're active you can't go wrong with them.

Very comfortable
Got these to wear as a layer under jeans during a visit to the north country; thin, so they fit under jeans well, and provided a nice amount of warmth for temps in the teens and twenties. Washed up nicely as well.
