I've been an "outdoorsy" person all my life and have had numerous tents through the years... some huge, some small. To me, the worst part of camping is setting up and tearing down. I hate running tent support poles through those little sleeves along the tent edges. Especially when using those break apart bungy tethered poles. But THIS TENT completely does away with that. I just took this tent out of its box and set it up for the first time. You have to try this to believe it. It literally set up in about 30 seconds and the only reason it look that long is because I wanted to fully observe how it works. I don't use the word Amazing in hardly any of my Amazon reviews but this tent deserves it. I set it on the ground, unfolded the legs, lifted it up and it pops right up into a great tent. I didn't add the rain fly or pound in the tent stakes but that would just be another minute or so. This is a game changer as far as I'm concerned.I bought this tent because a friend of mine has one very similar and while the rest of our camping crew is setting up, he's already chilling just watching us struggle with "normal" tents.Ok... so a few more thoughts and concerns...* The tent isn't as compact in storage as most tents are due to the frame. It's about the same girth but longer. It's a bit shy of three feet long. This is only an issue for me because I go Kayak camping and space is critical.* To help combat that concern, the storage bag is one of the best tent bags I've ever used. Normally you almost can't get a tent back in its original storage bag but this one is made a bit baggy right from the start. And... it has super handy buckling straps to cinch it down. And it has carrying handles.* I think anyone who has ever had one of those pop up camp chairs knows this technology doesn't exactly lend itself to longevity. I'm a bit worried about that because I'm thinking that if one of these supports stops popping up or breaks, it will probably ruin the tent.* I camp a lot in salt environments and I 'm not sure what the tent components are made of and how well they'll hold up to salty air.So as of now, the near instant set up is awesome and the potential drawbacks (other than the larger than normal size) are just theoretical. I love this right now and can't wait to take it on its maiden voyage but if it breaks my heart later on I'll be sure to edit this review so folks know what they're getting.Edit [19may25] ... ok, take this for what it's worth as this is nearly 5 years past the original post but... the awesome tent bag that I loved didn't make it past about 3 years before it started ripping and otherwise falling apart. I use straps to augment the bag and it's ok but, since I see these tents are still on the market, I wanted to circle back to this review and share a bit more of my experience with it.

I got this tent as an emergency item as I live in an area where a big earthquake could cause a tsunami. It’s light weight enough and would be easy to grab & go. It’s very easy to set up & this 67 year old woman was able to set it up in less than 5 minutes. It says 4 person, but it would be a tigh fit for 4 but in an emergency , it would be a decent shelter. The rainfly hasn’t been tested yet but honestly, I doubt it’s much of a rain fly. If i need to use it, i will put it under a tarp strung between 2 trees.

Super easy to set up and take down. Folds up nicely back into the bag too. Its roomy. We actually fit 3 of us, 1 small dog, and 1 large dog in the 4 person tent. As far as waterproof, it is not. Recent got caught in some rain and it leaked in. As long as you aren't stuck out in too heavy of rain it should be fine. For the price and convenience, it's good.

This tent is probably one of the best you could buy in Amazon. For the price I paid the quality is unbeatable, the material is top notch, the stitching is well made and you could tell that the manufacturer really put great effort in designing the tent. Me, my wife and our four daughters have enough room to sleep comfortably and that’s including our camping gears and bags inside the tent.Setting up the tent for the first time by myself took less than 5 minutes and taking it down is just as easy.We have tried the tent for a couple of months before writing this review, because I want write an honest review and point out any negative issues, but so far even rainy nights was not a problem. We didn’t experience any leaks during the wet season here in the Philippines. The windows and doors are also large enough to circulate air on hot days.I used my rechargeable bike light during night time, I just hang it in the middle of the tent which is awesome at night time.My cousin actually likes my family tent and he’s going to order the color blue, but I think that I’ll just surprise him and gift him the blue tent for his upcoming birthday.This is probably my first time writing a review on an Amazon item. I just want to help people to choose the right tent for their family. Would I recommend this tent to a friend or family members... absolutely!The priceless part is the quality time with my wife and 4 daughters. I hope this review helps and don’t forget to take videos and pictures with your love ones. I know we’ll have great time looking at pictures and watching videos from camping trips once all my daughters are all grown ups.
