The Heartfulness Way: Heart-based Meditation for Spiritual Transformation : (Daaji), Kamlesh D. Patel: desertcart.co.uk: Books Review: Read this book, if you know that the divinity is within you. - When I started practising the heartfulness meditation about 12 years ago, I was completely unaware how much it was going to influence me. It has simplified my thinking, living and approach to the world much beyond my comprehension. Some books can introduce to a new subject, some others can help to improve your knowledge, few can inspire and rarely can one sow seeds of knowledge for germination in the future. This book in my estimate can do all the above and more perhaps. The style of the book is a conversation between a teacher and a student, in the style of Upanishads, Gita and Plato which is very inviting to the reader and takes you through the practice and explores the gems of this raja yogic system which has many unique extraordinary hidden features. Readers are asked to come and experience the life changing, simple and non-demanding meditation practice which will take you the realms far far beyond anything comprehensible in our mundane world. I have read the book once and will read it many times to reap the extraordinary effects all the heartfulness books have on people who learn to read them, the heartfulness way. Also this book clarifies the Asthanga yoga in the light of the Heartfulness way for the first time. The feeling role of heart is very well explained and so is the role of the mind in a spiritual practice. Pranahuti, of the system, which is worth more than anything else in this world must be experienced to be believed. Spiritual journey is well charted and guidance is available without any fee. Now the man has a unique opportunity to explore the divinity within himself and I believe he will slowly find the Way to it. Review: A must read! - I have been practising this meditation for 25 years and I'm so delighted that now we have The Heartfulness Way. It is written simply and beautifully...a conversation between the current spiritual guide, Kamlesh D Patel...and Joshua Pollock, a practitioner of Heartfulness Meditation....sharing questions and experience of how this daily practice of meditation takes us to our true spiritual home...inside our own hearts. When I was looking...seeking, many years ago, I realised that what I was seeking was a 'way to go home'...to my true home. I found it in this simple practice of meditation. Being able to go 'inside' gives such a solid core to everything in my life...work, relationships...just living. It's sometimes hard to put into words the depth of the benefit...and how and why this practice works...but this book does exactly that! I'm buying extra copies to give to all my friends. It's a fabulous read.

Transformational
I think this is a gem of a book about meditation. It is based on long-standing lived experience. It manages to be both practical and inspiring in the tone of its writing. Heartfulness is rooted in an ancient tradition of Raja Yoga, but here in this book, it seems to belong to us now. The two authors clarify some of the misconceptions we may have. For example, many people worry a lot about having thoughts when meditating. It is pointed out, that thoughts do not stop us when focusing on many activities. In this system, we can let them be in the background. It is a relief to feel that meditation can be an ordinary and natural kind of thing, and that it in turn helps us be more natural and in touch with our hearts. The book is divided into two parts: the first discusses the whole idea of meditation and what experiencing meditation with yogic transmission can give us. The second explains how to try out Heartfulness and explore deeper and most profound elements. Having read many books about meditation, this one opens many new horizons and offers transformational possibilities.

A wonderfully simple explanation of Heartfulness practice
I’m delighted that an easy to read book on Heartfulness is now available. I’ve been practising Heartfulness meditation, which is free to learn, for nearly 25 years. However, this simple but profound book deepened my understanding of this beautiful, transformative practice. Written as a conversation between a spiritual guide and an aspirant, it seems to take you by the hand and lead you gently through its contents. It explains why we choose the heart to meditate on, (the home of love, empathy, feeling and intuition) and clearly explains each component of Heartfulness practice, from meditation to the wonderfully helpful method of clearing and rejuvenating our system after a day’s work.

Be More Love
This book shows you how. Really. It’s a practical guide for busy, modern people on how to bring balance, peace and joy into daily life. Written as a set of questions and answers, it’s easy to read and gives a clear and simple approach to life’s big questions. I found this book practical, thought-provoking and moving. More than that - this simple method works. This is based on my personal experience- but, don’t take my word for it, try it for yourself. You don’t even need to buy the book - go to the Heartfulness Way web site where you can try it - for free. (There’s never a charge for Heartfulness.). However, this book is worth every penny.

The most beautifully written and practical book with the capacity to change your life
There is deep wisdom within this book which answers the questions I have been asking all my life. What is amazing is that the book meets me where I am in a very simple way and I notice the change in how I feel when I have been reading it. It goes way beyond a basic understanding which I would usually expect from books and inspires me to ask questions and explore my own understanding within the supportive context of the book and the wisdom of its authors. I would highly recommend it as an opportunity which is way out of the ordinary and more of an experience than a read.

I have rarely read a book by a contemporary author that conveys such a deep understanding of man and life in such a incredibly simple and illuminating way. One feels that the author is not just a theoretician, but speaks of his own very practical experiences. In this book the ancient tradition of yoga shines in a promising new light. By giving very simple methods, the book invites the reader to put books and theories aside to embark himself on a promising mystical journey.

The Heartfulness Way describes a systematic approach to meditate (fine tune human heart through mind and achieve stillness). The authors have illustrated the practice in a layman terms and made it easy to practice. The practice steps are carefully crafted to aid individuals from all walks of life to focus on reality and peek through illusion. Resulting ability, "not to pay attention to thoughts" is the key element of the practice and is accomplished in a natural way with the use of yogic transmission as a catalyst. As described, the regular practice helps practitioner to develop and improve discipline, will power and discernment necessary for success.
