Switches are a direct fit for Subaru
The seat heaters in this kit seem to be a good quality and get very warm. There is no included installation instructions but with some electrical understanding it can be done very easily. The switches will fit directly into the factory seat heater switch hole in any early 2000's Subaru. For the impreza it has blank covers in its place. The outback and forester have change holders in it's place. The forester only has a place for one seat. You will need to find a used panel that had seat heaters installed, then you will have space for 4 switches or 2 switches and 2 coin holders. I included a picture of the switches that are included in the kit installed in a factory switch holder I got from a junkyard for 3 dollars(cost of entry).---Misc helpful info. You may cut the seat heater pad length wise, but NOT width wise. The silver tape that is included is to cover the exposed heater grid when you cut it.The silver tape is not very sticky. I used Tesa Tape to hold it in place.Install the heater pad with the sticky side on the foam, Not on the seat cover.Do not use spray adhesive, it is flammable and not necessary.---Wiring--Short version.Black, ground.Red, +12vYellow, Switched +12vCurrent draw, 4.2 amps per 2 pads.(1 seat[Your measurements will vary])Long version.Black will go to chassis ground, red will go to your main power supply, either full time 12v or switched 12v. The yellow wire must go to a switched power source. The relay will remain in the on position while the yellow wire has power. If you hook it to a source that has power while the key is in the on position, but the engine is off, the seat heaters can be turned on and may drain the battery. The best case scenario is to find a power wire that only comes on when the engine is running although it is not 100% necessary, it will keep you from draining the battery while the engine is off. Alternatively you can hook the red and yellow wires to the same switched power source, like the cigarette lighter, but the seat heaters can be turned on while the engine is off and key is in the on position. This is a very decent kit, that will include factory looking switches. The heaters get very warm and don't draw very much current. I would definitely recommend.

Good universal kit!
Bought this to experiment with. The bottom pad on my 2004 Ford Excursion went bad. I purchased this kit since it came with two identical pads, and used it to replace both driver and passenger seat pads. Worked like a charm. Just spliced into the factory wiring and trimmed the pad around the attachment points and presto! (yes, you can trim this and it still works just fine. I trimmed it the same as the original pad in the photo, making sure not to cut the large supply wires under the tape) Deducted 1 star due to zero instructions. Though, if you buy this, you should basically know how to hook it up to begin with...

Installed this and it works great!! Tap the GREEN wire to your center ...
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Installed this and it works great!!Tap the GREEN wire to your center console/center dash/hvac lights! Look at your car's manual for interior illumination.Use a fuse tap and 5amp fuse for that(Most cars will have a 7.5A for interior illumination center console lights).DO NOT TAP INTO YOUR DOME LIGHTS.Tap the RED wire to an empty fuse slot that has power when the ignition is ON or in ACC. Use a Fuse-tap with a 10amp fuse.Ground BLACK wire to car's chassis or any metal park.*** Remember: Fuse taps will have two slots. Top slot is for your new circuit. Bottom slot is for your EXISTING circuit. NEVER use more amperage than what the circuit is designed for. If you're tapping into the cigarette lighter circuit, your current fuse will go into the bottom slot, your new fuse will go into the top slot. If you're tapping into an EMPTY slot, you only need add the fuse to the TOP slot. The bottom slot can be left empty.

Good quality, works great after 2 months of every day use
I waited a few months to be sure that they lasted. I installed these in my Prius and use them on high everyday. They work great and get a little bit hotter than most factory heated seats I've experienced.Installation was as you would expect, not exactly for a novice. Besides the obvious wiring knowledge, peeling back the leather seat covers to install these is a nightmare on any vehicle. It took me about 4 or 5hrs to do the one seat start to finish.

Ordered this to replace previously failed set
I ordered the pair of these from a different seller, and the kit was slightly different. This replacement is far better than the first set I ordered, and I'm VERY happy about the new ones. I kept using the original switches and only had to change the plug at the actual seat to make them pair together.

Gets nice and toasty. Experience required for install
As all car heater installations, it is difficult. You have to remove hog rings and remove the seat cloth/leather, install the element, then install the cloth again. Then wire into the system. These things get hot. I love it and would recommend.

Junk
No instructions came with it and I haven’t been able to get them to work. Oh well guess I wasted my money on another China product
