Garage Door Opener Safety Beam Plastic 3 in. EMX Gate Reflector & Protective Reflector Hood

The EMX reflector and hood purchased from "Amazing Beam" works very well and is of high quality. The reflector is made in Germany and has a TOP indicator for optimal reflection. There is 1 screw included which attaches the reflector to the hood. You will need to source 2 screws to attach the hood to your desired surface; I used small wood screws. I am confident this setup will last a very long time.

I needed a reflector that would work with my electric gate when the weather is bad. From the time we got the gate installed on our property it would never close when the weather became damp, if it rained, or we had fog. Of course we called out the gate company to take a look more than once, but their fixes never worked. So when I saw this reflector I was a little skeptical. I had to wait for bad weather before I could give a review. I am happy to say that with a very heavy rain storm yesterday and extremely dense fog today the gate is still closing as it should. I hope this helps others who are in need of the same fix. I’m crossing my fingers that this result is a permanent one.

Bought this product but it didnt look anything like the image. The only thing that looked the same was the reflector. The hood was thick,gray and looked bulky. It took away from the appearance but over all it got the job done

Our HOA gates have been malfunctioning. Seems that the moisture in the morning causes our gates to remain open until the reflectors dry. Ordered one of these. Replacement was easy. Will be ordering 3 more. Did not resolve our issue completely.

This safety beam plastic kit resolved the problem had before when it was raining. the reflector I had before would be covered with rain drops and would lose its reflection clarity. My sensor would not recognize the returend beam and would not close. with the new kit, the reflector plastic disk is protected and does not get wet.

This didn’t work well. It still allowed the rain to hit the reflector . I can’t believe someone can’t design something over the reflector to stop the rain from hitting it. Then it doesn’t work.

My old reflector had a broken hood and every time it rained the gate would not close due to water drops on the reflector. This fixed our problem and also showed how warn my old reflector really was too.

Very good quality sensor; quite expensive though.
