Far better than t gel, definitely sorts out scalp psoriasis

Used t gel for years up until recently. But they’ve removed the coal tar so is useless for my hair and leaves it really limp and greasy. One wash with this shampoo all itchiness on scalp has gone, no flakes and shiny soft hair. Love it!!!!!

This shampoo really works and has helped my scalp a lot, it is much less itchy and I only use it about once every two weeks. The only downside is that it does smell quite bad and even the bottle itself makes our cupboard quite stinky so we keep it in a plastic bag.

I'm a former TGel user who was devastated when they stopped doing the proper brown coal tar formulation. I tried the new one and started to flake and feel the dreaded itch again. I tried a pine tar shampoo that both stank to high heaven and did nothing. Then I tried polytar. Sweet blessed relief at last. It as usual took a couple of weeks to deal with every trace but I am flake and itch free again AND it smells nice! Not just bearable or I can live with it after a conditioner is added but genuinely nice fragrance. I highly recommend lather, rinse, repeat as it's not easy to bubble up so you can be tempted to use too much - just a small dribble on the first wash is enough to clean things up enough to really lather the next time. I was worried the small bottle wouldn't last long but I think it's been two months before I even thought about reordering so that's not bad for a thick head of hair and I use it 3-4 times a week. Highly recommend it and for anyone else who is wandering in the wilderness looking for an alternative to the proper TGel this one is what you're after! Go polytar!

Experienced immediate good results for the first week or two but thereafter everything returned to previous state of dandruff. If only this was a long term solution as promised. Immediate results were good.

Bought because T Gel changed their formula. Just as good and relieved my itchy and sore scalp.
