50 YRS Old Spruce Strad "Soil" 1714 Copy 4/4

I got this violin today and at first was surprised that the back didn't have as rich grain as the photo as well as the sides. However, I find it beautiful though slightly less dramatic than the AD photo. It really feels like a beautiful instrument and I am very happy to have. I had a nice violin years ago, but I sold it since I was broke. I ended up with a Check. factory, but over 20 years it had some sound to it.I put some good strings on it and the sound is great [remember I am a long time beginner] This violin will only get better as I use it, and it makes me want to use it.The case was better than I expected, and the bow seems good.

I returned the violin 4 months ago because it was so different looking from the picture on the web. The artificial picture there on the web was misleading people intentionally and is still there.

Got a totally different violin than the one pictured. Sent it back immediately.
