This cast iron corn stick skillet makes the best crunchy cornbread sticks. It heats wells and cooks quickly. The only downfall that I would have is that it needed to be larger. Therefore, I will need to purchase an additional one.

This is a no brainier: looking at the texture of the pan with its ridiculous corn kernel indentations, what do you suppose is going to happen when baking something sticky like cornbread? No amount of lard will prevent sticking, and as it is cast iron with no teflon coating, trying to soak it clean causes rust to form. Waste of $30 IMO.
