This book was one of the tools I used in ...
This book was one of the tools I used in preparation for the CFP exam. All I can say is that I passed the exam the first time around which was exhilarating. Practice! Practice! Practice! Practice test-taking along with taking a review course. This was the secret to my success on this exam. Months of study was required for my practice.https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079K9VFS9

Good review
Before I sign up for courses to complete my CFP, I wanted a review that would let me get a sense for the material to be covered. This book has great questions, and well-explained answers but is succinct. The course material itself will have more of the same, but one way to study for these massive exams is to get as many test questions as you can, from different sources, and constantly test yourself to get the material firmly seated in your memory.I found this book easy to read and it is giving me a way to absorb the material to come. One truth I've found about learning; you need a "hook" on which to hang any new knowledge. For those things I'm not familiar with, this book gives me plenty of hooks to make sure I can easily absorb the volumes of material in the six courses that make up the CFP. This is the 2013 edition.

Outdated
From my experience from taking the 2020 CFP exam, the concepts are way to brief and the questions are more definitional in nature, which did not reflect the exam.

Helpful, accurate, worth it
Helped a lot. What can I say? Immersion and knowledge are the only way to go to pass this exam. Accurate.

Useful. Practice questions were representative
I just took the CFP exam in July 2010 after self studying. I haven't received my results yet, but I felt well prepared. I used Keir, Schwesser (Kaplan) and this book to prepare. Keir was great. It helped me focus my time and energy on what was most important and most frequently tested. Schwesser was organized well but didn't prioritize important/often tested material over arcane/rarely tested material. I purchased this book because it was inexpensive and had received positive reviews. It was helpful. The practice questions were pretty representative of the actual exam. The outline was nice but a bit too thin to truly helpful. One thing lacking in this book are cases. I did every case I could get my hands on prior to the exam, probably 20+. They were very helpful. Good luck!!!

Great bang for the buck
For a quick and cheap way to prep for the exam, this book is top-notch. It gave me a few VERY helpful hints I didn't find anywhere in my comprehensive (and expensive) Kaplan review course, along with an excellent practice exam. The practice exam answer guide is perfect - it explains, in depth, why the answer is the correct one; in many cases it was more in-depth than the Kaplan practice exams. As far as I'm concerned, for everything you get for $15, this is a no-brainer.

Ok as a guiide.
Will give a prelude what to expect. Prospective test takers need to find serious material to practice with. I recommend to explore Kiers, Kaplan and others schools. Call CFP board and find out what you need.

Three Stars
Really just some tips, I wish there was more thorough explanation throughout but oh well.

Not for Indian CFP
It's a good book, but not relevant for Indian CFP.
