Turtle Beach Elite Pro 2 Gaming Headset Plus SuperAmp - Xbox One

I was a bit sceptical about getting these due to some of the negative reviews but took the punt and purchased them anyway. But after a few days of using them I can't fault these at all, extremely comfy and it doesn't need to plug into your controller to use in a party. Sound quality is excellent too.The extra perk which I love is it connects to your phone at the same time as gaming, so if your in an intense game you can answer a call easily.No negative thoughts on this so I see no reason why to give it lower than a 5*.If you were in doubt like me then trust me, give them a go.

DO NOT BUYI bought these to replace my dying ASTRO A50s Gen 3, this headset it complete rubbish, I fined tuned everything to make it as loud as possible but still no where near as loud as my A50s I have since retuned them and got a full refund.The sound quality on them is awful, when you turn the volume dial anything below 80% you will not hear anything.All the way on max volume and it sounds average at best, but again no where near as my superiorAstro A50 Gen 3s.It’s such a shame I loved the look and premium feel but my god the sound is awful get the Astro A50 Gen 4s while you can. You will not be disappointed like I was when I tried using this BS headset!! I don’t understand why more gamers haven’t complained about the poor and low volume when turned to max settings?Any questions please contact me I will reply ASAP!Please please please buy the Astro A50 Gen 4s!!! These are the real winners, the sound quality is far superior, pin point accurate, very high quality audio in terms of voice chat and game audio. I cannot stress enough how amazing the A50 gen 4s are!!!!Do not bother buying this headset you’ll only regret it, seriously buy the Astro A50 Gen 4s!!!!

Ok, this is my 1st ever set of gaming headphones and I did my research. I was going to get the Astro's A50 but read far too many bad reviews on the gen4 about disconnection so I opted for these (yes people moaned about them being too quiet) But my experience was good enough to start with and I will admit that although the highest volume possible was fine for me I could see that they could go up a few notches. So before slagging these off I decided to update the firmware on them as prompted by the mobile app when connected to the headset, once this was done then the volume was increased by an extra 25% IMO, so maybe that's all people needed to do before saying they were not loud enough? Anyway I am happy with them.

My biggest issue with this headset is the mic is overly sensitive. Even fiddling with the settings means my teammates can hear all the game sounds coming from my mic. Even if the game volume is low and the mic is as far away from the ear cups as possible. It’s incredibly annoying for everyone else, and they can also hear their voices as an echo from my end.The amp is easy to use and doesn’t feel cheap, but for some daft reason Turtle Beach has put all settings except the volume on an app on your phone. The amp only controls the volume.The mute button is on a cable which is fiddly to mute in a sneeze and usually end up deafening my teammates before I can mute it!The comfort level is amazing. The cooling ear cups are a nice touch and I gamed for hours without any discomfort across the top of my head or around my ears.I still own my Turtle Beach PX5 headset from 2011. It has 7.1 surround sound (a lot of Xbox headphones don’t have that these days because Microsoft have done their own “surround sound” which doesn’t compare), and is wireless except for the chat cable which plugs into the controller.The only reason for finding a replacement is after so long the headband has stretched and it’s no longer a tight enough fit and sound escapes a little. If I could find another pair of those brand new, I wouldn’t even consider the newer models. It’s awful that it’s 2020 and Turtle Beach have been making some god awful headsets since then.If I could justify £250 on a headset, I’d go for the Astro A50s latest gen. Totally wireless, AND has 7.1 Dolby surround sound and two years subscription to the Dolby service via your Xbox or PC.If you can afford the extra, go for the Astros.

Honestly dont see why everyone else is complaining these headphones sound brilliant and the sound is very clear, they are not the loudest but they are not quiet either would definitely recommend would put them on par with the 800x steath elite just wired my only complaint is the hub but the standard headphone adapter for the controllers works just as well but u wont have bluetooth but overall they work as intended and might not be the loudest but are not as bad as the other reviews make them out to be

I have turtle beach headphones previously but been impressed with these ones now. Using app allows you to set up the headphones to your preferences.
