Wood block
Seems to sound good. I honestly haven't tried it in our church service yet.

Very Nice with Terrific Sound
I think you'll be well pleased with this fine wood block. It has audio cut outs on each side, which provide for an excellent tone. Nothing not to love, although I do suggest you snag some hard black rubber sticks to use, instead of the provided short wooden one. It's an absolute no brainer. Snag it!

The sound
I thought it would have a richer sound.

solid product with good sound
When I got the woodblock I noticed that it seemed very strong and firm. The mallet looks very sturdy as well and won't come apart. Though not a true percussionist myself, I experimented with the sounds I could make striking at various spots on the flat end. I can say that in trained hands this woodblock should sounds pretty professional. There are holes to mount it on a stand if you know how to do that.

Not your block
This is not the wood block you want. Try a different one. This is NOT a musical instrument.

Clear loud sound
A very clear sound with plenty of natural volume. Easily cuts through the mix. Actually this can be shockingly loud if you wish. I’m a sucker for anything hand percussion and this is one of the best items I’ve added in months.

Wood Block Sounds for Days Son
Reminds me of Music Class in Elementary School, so when my sister had a son I knew I had to get her one, I mean him one. I know she’ll love it when he gets older 😉

Below expectations
Sound is pretty poor. It doesn't have the open tongue-clucking sound I am looking for. Just sounds like hitting any other hard surface in your home or elsewhere. Fine for childrens' use but not suitable for use in a performance or recording.
