Miracle
I have never written an Amazon review EVER. But I hope this helps someone. Our dog was having adrenal dysfunction due to long term prednisone use. Out of nowhere one day he was drinking water heavily and we couldn’t keep up with his water refills. He started having accidents in the house but were told not to limit his water. It was an absolute nightmare. He needed out every 1-2 hours around the clock. He just wasn’t himself at all. I started researching for adrenal support supplements after they presumed him to possibly have cushings so we began to taper the prednisone. I reached out to this company and asked if it was safe to use while tapering off prednisone. Within 2 weeks I noticed a significant change in his habits and noticed him being able to go longer and longer and not drinking as much. As of today, we have gone 2 weeks without accidents in the house and I finally feel like we have our dog back!! We aren’t even through our first bottle yet. I am so glad i listening to my instincts on this and got him started on something natural. If you are dealing with incontinence and excessive drinking.. t try this!!!

Buyer Beware
The first night I gave this to my dear Daisy, she was awake, unsettled, for many hours. The second night the same. The only difference was this medication. I took it off of her, and the symptoms were non-existent. Yet, I kept reading that a dog with Cushings should have both HMR and Melatonin, so I tried again but instead of the evening gave it to her in the evening. By the third day she was pacing, gagging, and in definite distress. I was upset because she has a heart condition, so I did not know if she was experiencing heart failure or it was the drug. I ceased giving it to her, and the symptoms stopped. It has been three days now, and the symptoms have not returned. I had reported this problem initially to the company but have not heard back, and I cannot get a refund. What is confusing is that I do not know whether it's this product or Melatonin in general, so I have to pay to try another product or not.

Helps a little but isn't a miracle
My dog showed Cushing's symptoms for a few months but we were also dealing with a pretty bad mucocele so that was the priority on funds. I started my dog on Cushaway about 3 months into his symptoms without much difference in the severest symptoms but he was calmer and sleeping better. Once the mucocele was resolved surgically, we turned attention to the Cushing's. His vet put him on vetoryl. I kept him on the Cush Away because I thought it did help him relax (the melatonin). My dog is tiny and needs only 1/2 pill a day, a full pill makes him loopy. Between the vetoryl and the cushaway my dog drinks less, gets up only 1 or 2 times a night, has fewer accidents and his appetite normalized. The pot belly disappeared but hair-loss hasn't resolve and he continues to lose muscle and strength. He's had Cushing's for well over a year now and he's fading; but he hasn't given up, so neither will I.

I will continue to use 🤗
I use this for my 10 year old Boxer who has Cushings. It has greatly diminished her symptoms and she is calm and sleeps thru the night. This is my 3rd bottle and I will continue to use to keep her off of harmful pharmaceuticals wrought with side effects.

Seems to be doing as advertised
I have a senior terrier girl, who was diagnosed with Cushings disease a few months ago. The vet originally prescribed 30mg, once per day, of Vetoryl. She seemed to do well on it, but I decided to research alternative treatments, as opposed to giving her chemicals. After the first 30 capsules, I'd chosen to give CushAway a try. She actually did as well, if not better than she did while taking Vetoryl. At a checkup, and about 3 weeks of taking CushAway, the vet suggested putting her back on the Vetoryl, since he wasn't confident the CushAway was doing her any good. Well, not 24 hours after her dose of the Vetoryl she developed severed symptoms of Cushings, and she refused all food and treats. I had previously decided to get a second opinion, and the new vet suggested lowering her dose, but to begin her back on CushAway. I did the next morning, and by that afternoon the severe symptoms drastically subsided. I've been giving her the CushAway every morning since, while waiting for the lower dose prescription of Vetoryl, and she is doing great. She's 11ish years old, and she's not been overly active, but she does make it outside to potty, does follow me through the house for attention, eats great, sleeps through the night, and doesn't do her circling and seemingly confused. I will update this review once I start her back on the Vetoryl as the new vet stated it will do no harm for her to take both.

I was surprised when my veterinarian (at a university hospital) suggested Cush Away as an alternative to Vetoryl. However, my dog is doing surprisingly well on this supplement. The constant whining, and pleading expression have stopped. He no longer eats his own feces, and he is back to being pretty satisfied with regular portions of food and water.

Arrived sealed, undamaged & in perfect condition. I’ve just started giving it to my dog with early Cushings so can’t say if it’s effective yet, but if so I’ll be ordering from this supplier again.
