Johnston & Murphy Men's McGuffey Oiled Leather Plain Toe Casual Shoe

I wear these shoes daily and I have bought multiple pair. They fit the business casual look I’m going for as an IT professional. They are quite comfortable. They are packable for business trips. They fit perfectly. If you are in the market for this type of shoe give these a try.

Accurate fit, feel and look great

These shoes sound like you have adhesive pads on the soles. They are incredibly loud and embarrassing to wear at work when walking on any flat, non-porous and non-carpeted surface. Unfortunately, you don't realize that unless you find a review first or wear them, but buyer beware. These are the biggest waste of money. It's a great looking shoe, but the sound they make is unbearable.

This is my second pair over the years of this exact same style. JM is quality and comfort in everything they do. These are a simple, smooth design that are easy to wear and go with everything. It’s like that nice pair of jeans you can dress up or down, throw these with no shoes and shorts or khakis and a sweater… done. A must have for the closet.

I’ve really enjoyed these Johnson Murphy McGuffy, plain toed shoes, I’ve had them for several months now and they’ve held up very well fit as well and I like the casual style. I’m gonna buy another pair just in case he’s wear out soon.

I really had high expectations given my past Johnston & Murphy purchases. I should have tried these on in a store instead of buying online. The Good: They fit exactly as expected. They look fantastic. They are comfortable. The leather quality is high. The Bad: The soles are so thin that you can almost feel the ground you are walking on. I was so shocked at how thin the inlay of the sole is. Really not the feel, comfort or durability I have come to know with Johnston & Murphy. The bottom line for me is that I will wear them (good enough to keep) but with limited use. I feel these should be marketed as driving shoes since that is really how they were made. I will have to add some cushion in order to be able to use these more than just driving.

My son bought a pair of shoes from this brand a few months back before leaving for 2 years. He also took an older pair from another brand which wore out quickly and became uncomfortable. He asked for this brand specifically and has been very happy with his second pair . He now has a black and brown pair and we recommend this brand. Good quality.
