Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise: Prima Official Game Guide Paperback – September 2, 2008

I borrowed this book from a friend after I'd been playing Viva Pinata: TIP for several days. I found myself flipping through it countless times to figure out what I needed to do to get these animals showing on the outskirts of my garden. Eventually I had to give the book back. I didn't touch the game for 5 months, until I bought myself a copy of this guide.For those that want to figure things out on their own, then go for it and steer clear of this book. But, considering there's no plot, there's really nothing ruined or spoiled by using this guide as the fantastic tool that it is.

I have an unreasonable love for Viva Pinata and having this helped me play the game, but regardless it's a good collectable.

As other reviewers have accurately reitterated, this guide is great. It lays out in an easy-to-follow format every secret of Pinata Island: wild cards, twins, rare species; seeds (with productivity enhancement tips and what each plant does for your pinata); every building and Costalot merchandise with their function; the people and places; many hints for winning shows, races and breeding mini-games; and much more.The book really speeds things up for you and helps make this expansive game a bit more attainable. It reveals secrects that many players would otherwise not know of without searching through much internet foilage-- and the book looks great on your bookshelf in the meantime with its exuberant color palette and whimsical artwork.There is so much content in this game that I have never fully completed it, but the guide really enhances the experience. My only beef with the book is the publishers used really weak paper that will fold and tear if you're not very careful with it. So be careful, and enjoy showing it off to all your friends!And don't forget to check out "Viva Pinata garden designs" on Youtube for great ideas on how to create lavish, theme-oriented living areas for you and your little critters to enjoy.

Bought it for my son for his 6th birthday. He probably couldn't tell you anything else he got he was so thrilled with this. Reads it everday. Lot's of good info on how to deal with the pinatas etc. Very colorful. Recomemded to all that like the game.

This was in good condition and a good value since the publisher no longer makes this.

Viva Pinata is one of my all time favorite games. And this guide makes it easier to achieve all the goals of the game. Awesome!

Picked up this invaluable reference for my two sons , they love it !This book poved to be hard to find but its well worth it if you want all the pinata secrets !
