NOTE This is a STEREO I/O jack not mono.
This is absolutely top quality stuff. Just make sure you need a stereo jack and not mono as there is a difference. I suppose this could be modified for mono use by NOT connecting the T or the R of the TRS configuration and bending a terminal away, but unless that's absolutely necessary if you just need a mono I/O they are also available. make sure you get the right one.Any caveats to such a quality jack? In foresight I imagine you could prematurely abraid the jack for it's snug fit. Maybe not. Purely hypothetical and with that we go full circle to the single connection contact. DEFINITELY worth the money to me. this is a FINE little piece of necessary stuff to have around should a need arise later. So if you ordered the wrong one you can either return it easily if you have Amazon Prime especially (free plug to Amazon from me) or keep it and order the right one you meant to get in the first place. Budget friendly enough BUT I have been in the position that the few extra dollars on hand for coffee or something was preferable. All I got. Though I feel I could have been more thorough, I hope that what was included helps.

Perfection
The cheap factory jack on my 20-year-old bass was badly worn, and I was getting constant pops and static. Tried cleaning it, rebending the contacts... all the normal tricks. Finally gave up and installed the Pure Tone jack. WOW. Silent. Not one hint of noise or static. I have wiggled the cable all around, jerked on it... Can't make it create noise. It holds the plug so tight. Amazing.Love that it is available in gold to match the hardware on my bass. I got the stereo jack because I have active pickups that turn on when the plug is it in. Works perfect, and very easy to install.I would highly recommend.

Priced similarly but performs better
Looking at the Switchcraft jacks for sale here on Amazon I notice that the price on them are no lower- I actually found them to be higher on average. These jacks are very nicely made and designed. I don't think they make my guitar sound better, and they don't really address any issues I had, but they're well made, smartly designed and not more expensive in my experience.

You get what you pay for -- Quality!
I needed a quality 1/4 stereo jack for my Tube Headphone amplifier project and this was the final piece that made that project complete. This offers a very sturdy connection with my headphones plug. The craftsmanship is very good and the wiring posts accepted my solder and flux with ease. Very happy with the end result.
