I’ve never had a cervical pillow before, but I have developed neck and shoulder pain from osteoarthritis and wanted to give this pillow a try. I really didn’t think I would be able to sleep on it all night as I am both a back and side-sleeper and go back & forth quite a bit during the night. Well, I’ve been pleasantly surprised! I have used this pillow for the last 3 nights and found that it does relieve my neck strain and makes even sleeping on my sides more comfortable. Historically I use down & feather pillows with silk pillow cases for my hair and face. This pillow has a satiny cover that seems to be sufficient for that. It had a very slight chemical odor when I first opened it, but after airing out and expanding during the day, it was odor-free and ready to sleep on that night. The top and bottom of the pillow are shaped differently, so make sure you try both (I didn’t realize this for a while and it makes a real difference.) The pillow seems well-made…nicely sewn and fitted…and the cover removes for laundering. I think my silk pillow case which zips on the end will fit it, too! Another great thing about this pillow is that I have not slept hot with it. I regularly sleep hot during the night, but have experienced no sweating or discomfort from this memory foam. I’m pleased and feel that it is a good value.

I was having a hard time finding the right pillow for me. I tried many different standard fill and memory foam pillows but all became uncomfortable for me after an hour or so. I do switch sleep positions multiple times at night and this could be contributing to my neck pain. I saw this ESEGOODS Cervical Pillow for Neck Support and liked the features. To me, this pillow looks over-engineered, weird, and uncomfortable, but I've been having some sleeping problems, discomfort, neck pain, and headaches, and I was willing to try it to see if it would help. It looks weirder than it feels. The design didn't really bother me at all. What bothered me was how thick the pillow was. It was far too skinny. My mattress is quite firm, and when laying on my back, I felt like my head was tilted back as though I were trying to look at the headboard regardless of how I positioned the pillow. When laying on my side, I felt as though my head was tilted toward the floor. If the pillow were a couple inches thicker it might be ok, but as it is, I couldn't sleep on it. I have to take issue with a couple terms used by the seller. The Amazon posting stated that the pillow was "adjustable". There is no way to adjust it. You can flip it around different ways, same as any other pillow, but there is no way to "adjust" it for thickness, firmness, or anything else. Additionally, it claims to be a "cooling" pillow. I saw no cooling properties, and experienced no cooling sensation. At the time of this review, this pillow was priced at $39.99, which seems really high to me. I replaced it with what, in my opinion, is a far superior pillow, for $26.99.

I really wanted to love this pillow, but it did not meet my expectations at all. I typically love cervical pillows and sleep very well with them. When I opened this one, I was initially excited because the middle fabric felt silky and smooth, I thought it would even help protect my hair while providing good neck support. Unfortunately, the cushion is not thick or firm enough to maintain proper alignment. It feels flat straight out of the package. I allowed it time to fully expand, but it never provided the height or support needed for true cervical alignment. I have another cervical pillow that flattened after nearly a year of use, this one felt like that on day one. The factory smell is also very strong and requires significant airing out before it’s even tolerable to sleep on. For the price, this is not a good value, especially if you are buying it expecting real neck support. I would not recommend this pillow to anyone looking for proper alignment or therapeutic support.
