Saving batteries
I have an old tape player and a ton of Prairie Home Companion radio shows I taped and haven’t listened to in years. I couldn’t find the cord for the tape player and I wanted to save on its batteries. This was the perfect solution! Works like a charm!

Great power supply but adapter didn't fit my Casio Keyboard
I was looking for a power adapter for a Casio CDP100 which requires a 12V 2A non standard negative center pin. This power adapter has the ability to switch voltages which was great and it also comes with a number of connector to fit different hole sizes. Unfortunately the CDP100 power connector hole is very non standard and requires a short connector. This power supply did power the keyboard but slight movements would lose connection. Still rating this adapter high but a different connector is needed for the CDP100.

Works for Guitar Effects Pedal Neg/12V/High 2A
Needed a negative polarity (which I believe a lot/possibly most guitar effects pedals use) along with 12V and 2Amps power. That 12V/2A/Neg Polarity combo was extremely hard to find but is required to power an older T-Rex Octavius Octave Generating Pedal. This pedal really saved the day for that one. Switched it to 12V and attached the largest physical plug-in adapter they included properly; it fit tight and fired right up all around. I suspect it would also work with 9V guitar pedals (of which there are many) if you switch it over to the 9V designation but have not tested that.

Perfect for my old dartboard
We have an electronic dartboard bought more than 15 years ago, and we lost the plug-in for it. Some forums online said that it was center-negative and about 9.5v. I couldn't find the original manufacturer plug online and decided this was worth a try. It works perfectly! If the dartboard dies, the plug has so many options that I'm sure I can find another device I could use it on in the future.

They are crap
These are crap. I don't have any idea how they could pass FCC testing. They create huge RF noise on the item and in the environment. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Worked really well to power a center negative ball clock
I found this neat ball clock at goodwill for a good price and had to pick it up. It did not come with a power adapter and it happened to be center negative. I work with electronics a lot and have never come across a center negative device before. This adapter was only a few dollars more than a different one on amazon, but is way more valuable because of the variable voltage. Since center negative is so rare, if I ever find another device that needs it I can just adjust the voltage and borrow the clock's power supply.

I use it with a Roland Sound Canvas SC-88VL midi sound module, where it works perfectly. The voltage setting is very firmly locked, was concerned it might move or something but you really have to torque it with the included key or other small flat object to get it to turn.

Trying to find the correct adapter can be a real hassle, because sellers can't know what width of tip you need in spite of the rest of the specs. This one solved that issue.

When you turn up the volume on the device you’re powering and the unit is under heavy load, the item it’s powering has power loss and the speakers go all staticky. The led viewscreen dims out. This unit is rated at 2A. The unit never did this with the old adapter. (Also rated at 2A). Also the prongs only fit one way which means you can only set it up with negative Center. Which limits the overall usability of the adapter. **! Update, I put the unit to the voltage setting next up from what the unit it was used on called for. No more staticky fade outs. So I’m changing the unit to 4 stars

Was looking for a replacement for my Korg 05R/W power supply and this works perfectly. Arrived the next day and seems well-made.
