Do these not clog up the filter or crystallise? Do you need to change the water afterwards? New owner

I bought these thinking it would be a great idea … how wrong was I !! I only put a few crystals in the water and it was lovely smells amazing but the next day my hot tub was so slippy, slimy and cloudy. I had to complete empty it, clean it all then refill it again. As well as replaced the filter. I would not recommend using these in your hot tub !!
