RegiaPairfect Design Line 4-Ply by Arne & Carlos Sock Yarn (9136 - Garden)

This is my first attempt with Regia Pairfect, and It won't be my last.I had been avoiding knitting any cuff-down socks because I hate Kitchener stitch so much. However, I am glad that I bit the bullet with this. I love that the socks match perfectly. I love that I know exactly when to end the cuff, when to start the heel.Just a note, this yarn is very sticky; it just loves itself. As a consequence, there are times when there is unavoidable yarn barf (if you are using the center pull method) as the yarn catches on itself deep inside the skein, tightens up, and won't let go. Yarn barf doesn't bother me at all, nor do tangles. About midway through the second sock, the looseness of the skein at that point caused it to do this with a fair bit of regularity, so I decided to rewind the ball from the outside to eliminate the issue. There comes a time in most center-pull skeins when the skein becomes too loose and floppy and I decide to rewind for the remainder of the project; with this, it needed it a bit sooner than I would ordinarily have rewound, but it really wasn't any bother.

I love this yarn! It starts at the 1x1 ribbed "cuff" then the design begins on the leg, when the solid color ends, you knit 2 rounds, then start the heel. If you follow the directions on their YouTube video, the heel will use the amount of yarn correctly for the heel, but it you vary the amount of cast-on stitches or your favorite heel varies, you'll run out of heel yarn and the patterned yarn begins (however, who the heck is going to see it, that part of the heel is on the bottom of the foot?). Continue the foot part of the sock, and the toe is very long, but there is a lot of extra yarn for longer feet. The yarn design pattern only works for top-down socks. Arne & Carlos showed on YouTube what it looks like if you try to start with the top-up. I love this yarn so much, I bought MANY of the different colorways. I'm on the toe of my 3rd pair & will begin my 4th pair today, Christmas. My favorite heel is the afterthought heel, but I tried different heels on each skein/ball of their colorful yarn. You will have fun watching the color changes of all the different colorways, each pattern different. I use to dislike knitting socks, but Arne & Carlos' yarn design made me love knitting them & it goes surprisingly fast. Oh, one negative is that the yarn may be a little think for your regular shoes, but should be okay for athletic shoes or SAS shoes. I had to go up a half-size in regular shoes. KNIT ON as Elizabeth Zimmerman would say on her TV shows & videos.

While I am not knew to knitting socks I understood there was going to be a slight variation in the pattern due to different dye lots, production and manufacturing as well as the size needle and tension I would be knitting with. However the yarn I have is VASTLY different from the photo, the color runs are much long in some places and what I am getting is mostly a stiped pattern not at all what it is supposed to look like. I have frogged it twice now and tried 2 different needle sizes to see if I could adjust the pattern and nothing is going to make it appear like the photo because the color run on the yarn are wrong.... sadly I ordered more thinking I would like it and I am really not happy with the outcome.

This was a fun project over the holidays. I'd never knitted socks before, but Pairfect made it easy! Plus, no single-sock syndrome. I did end up watching a few tutorials from Arne and Carlos for the heel, but otherwise it was a breeze.

I love the ease of the MATCHING BOTH SOCKS . I always have to pull a lot of yarn with other brands to get a perfect match when knitting socks. PAIRFECT. WITH Arne and Carlos design was a joy and with Ample yarn for knitting larger size as well. I have gifted the socks and get nothing but praise , designs, and colors are beautiful. I highly recommend and look forward to more patterns from Arne and Carlos.

Great sock yarn. You don't even have to think because of the technology used. You start to down after the yellow thread. When you get to the same color again you start the heel. Easy! Love the color choices

Nice yarn, just follow instructions and you can knit very pretty pair of socks exactly like the ones on the label. Patterning comes out perfectly, there is ample extra yarn for larger size socks. I made a woman's sock, and then ordered the yarn in different colors. I used my own sock pattern but there is a pattern you can get with the yarn. I think my family will love their Christmas socks!

Great engineered sock yarn. Pattern works super well, easy to follow, the resulting design is very cute. Durable wool, should make these last a lifetime. Lots of colors and patterns to choose from. Due to engineering, each sock looks exactly the same and the fit is custom for the user.

Wunderbare Wolle, wirklich ! Ich hab schon mehrere Socken mit dieser speziellen Sockenwolle gestrickt. Das Muster war tatsächlich absolut identisch bei beiden Socken. Eine Kundin schrieb, dass das Sockenmuster nicht stimmte. Vermutlich hat sie die Wolle falsch abgewickelt ansonsten habe ich dafür keine Erklärung. Ich bin mehr als zufrieden.

Wo und wann kommt der Farbverlauf bei dieser Wolle ich bin mehr als enttäuscht. Es sollte ein Geschenk werden was ich mir nun schenken kann. Wirklich nicht zu gebrauchen. Danke!!!!

Einfach super Wolle. Hat perfekt geklappt mit dem gelben Faden zwei gleiche Socken zu stricken. Läßt sich toll stricken, fühlt sich kuschelig weich an, werde auf jeden Fall wieder welche bestellen.

Die Wolle lässt sich gut verarbeiten. Das Muster ist bei beiden Socken gleich, wenn man der Anleitung in der Banderole folgt. Leider ist die Farbgebung im Original anders als auf dem Foto. Insgesamt ist die Socke blau, obwohl sie auf den Fotos mit div. Grautönen erscheint.
