This brand was recommended by my doctor that is well versed in treating MTHFR gene mutation. I tested positive for homozygous MTHFR gene mutation after having worsening flu like symptoms with Lipotropic injections and vitamin infusions. Furthermore, I a family nurse practitioner and have done my research on supplements and the company behind the production of these supplements. I was uncertain about this product because of high cost but according to how I feel and my recent labs, they are working effectively! The difference in how I feel is like night and day!!! I have extreme energy, so much that it has been effecting my sleep, so we have had to decrease the dosage. Too much of this product can actually make you feel worse or cause extreme anxiety/insomnia like it did for me. Now that we have figured out the correct dosing, I feel amazing. I would suggest if you buy this supplement, find a provider that is well versed in MTHFR and can manage possible side effects or increased or decreased inflammatory markers. There is a complicated science behind treating this gene mutation, so again find a PCP, naturopathic, or functional medicine provider that is well versed in monitoring your care. Advice: don’t take this before bed. You will never sleep! If you feel like worse with this, your homocysteine levels may be too high and you may need to decrease how often it is taken. This is very potent stuff and well worth the money!

This supplement works and I’m glad I read a review from a nurse practitioner. Make sure you start at a low dose or this can keep you up at night. I had to work my way up to the higher dose over time.
