I had an AT-Pro before and used the heck out of it. Was a great machine. I stepped up and bought an Equinox 800. Very nice machine! I had sold the AT-Pro and decided to buy another one. I got this AT-Pro in late 2024. I had not used it until this fall. The unit came in the factor box an appeared to be fine. I had it hanging in the garage all summer by the arm rest and decided to take it out today. No one else had access to the AT-Pro. This was the hour and noticed the head unit appeared cracking. I contacted Garrett and they bent over backwards to help repair the unit. I actually talked to a person! They believe the mounting screws were over tightened causing the issue. I should have my unit back within 10 days. Customer service is awesome!

Thought machine, super resistant and capable, it has become a classic between detectorist.

I did some research on this metal detector n many people said good things about it, so i bought it I used it about 4 times n so far is seems real good, it found a small bee bee n a 22 rifle shell, these were really small n it found them I read some reveiews on different sellers of this model n some people said it seemed they got a used item, i thought the same thing when i got mine cause of the package, the package wasnt sealed n looked like it was opened up a few times, also the things inside seemed like maybe someone else bought it n returned it I message the seller about it n he said garret dont seal the box n that is the way it comes n that the hardware should be in a sealed bag Most my hardware was in the sealed bag except 2 washers which were already on the coil bracket part, so i guess this is just the way this product comes at times, but usually when i buy brand new stuff it somes in a sealed box n everything inside package in brand new form n you can tell it was never opened n used Nothing seemed to be scratched up so it seemed like brand new I was expecting a bigger longer box but it came in a smaller square box n you got to put it together, it is easy to put together n easy to use after you read the instructuons, make sure to ground balance each time before use Also it has a pin pointer mode once you find something, you hold the pp button down until it pin points it Make sure to go over spots 2 or 3 times swinging it Also i would get a pick, a small shovel, n other things like a small pin pointer, cause it will make it easier for you I got mine to find meteorites mainly n seems to pick up iron good, but i will also be looking for gold

Great machine. I have been using Whites metal detectors for the past 10 years and this one surpasses it by far. The last Whites detector that I had crapped out on me after a year and a half of using it. As I didn't care to send it in for repair I decided to try something different and boy did I make the right choice. After using it only a week I found more coins then I ever found with my Whites in a month. The depth is fantastic even on standard mode and the discriminator although not entirely foolproof is a lot better as I don't have to waste a lot of time digging for junk. I would have given this machine a five if the screen was a little larger especially if your a senior. It's a just a minor inconvenience to have to wear reading glasses when using it. It's also easy to use and not complicated like some of the more expensive machines that I borrowed from friends over the years. Otherwise I highly recommend this metal detector as you get a lot of bang for the money!

Just started the hobby, I have been wanting one since I was little. After watching many YouTube videos, the show diggers and Alaskan gold rush. I found that the work horse of detectors is Garrett. Unless you are into professional mining, or archeology I could not understand why you would need anything more than Garrett. The AT PRO is a great detector. Settings for beginners and for more advanced detectorists, make this MD a great choice for those who want to take this hobby seriously. I am finding metals at a very deep range, which lets a person feel they have an edge on those who have substandard detectors. I am very satisfied with my decision to opt out on the cheap route, because I know that I have a great chance of finding older deeper treasures. This detector is very rugged and I know that if it is taken care of, it will last my lifetime.the only complaint i have is the headset seems to be made of cheap thin plastic.even thou they work great, I may upgrade to a better set. Great medal detector, and I must say kinda expensive but you get what you pay for now days

Excellent performance. Bit of a learning curve in PRO Audio mode. Once you understand what you are listening for it all comes together. Found coins in the first hour out of the box. Selective discrimination is awesome in trashy areas! Find it much more comfortable to hold than the "straight arm" types. Get your pin pointer and a digging tool. Be warned, you will instantly want a sand scoop for the beaches. Get the protective coil cover also. Make damn sure you have the battery door closed and locked tight if you are headed for water.

Well I'm am very happy with this detector for the following reasons. It can be disassembled if traveling, the shaft is also adjustable to your height, it can be used in the water up to 10 feet deep, it comes with headphones that attach to the detector, there is a coil cover that can be placed on the coil to keep it from getting scratches, it has several different settings that help you depending where you’re detecting and it is lightweight .

The Garrett AT Pro is one of the best known metal detectors out there and for good reason. It does everything well in my opinion. My last AT Pro was ten years old and finally succumbed to a salt water leak and died on me. Ordered a new one and paid less for it than when I bought my original new. Go figure? Sending the old one in for repairs so I’ll have a refurbished one as a backup. The AT Pro is an amazing underwater detector that is truly amphibious. It’ll go anywhere. Great battery life. Well built. That said, it may not be the best beginners machine. Start with the Garrett Ace line and move from there. The AT Pro has many, many features and in Pro Mode there’s lots of signal tone to memorize. The AT Pro will find buried stuff nicely. There are other brands out there but I have a few Garrett detectors and they have rarely let me down. I’d recommend the AT Pro to any intermediate detectorist who’s serious about putting some hours on the stick to learn the machine.

Ya llevo utilizando el producto y hasta ahorita todo funciona de maravilla. He logrado encontrar muchos objetos. El producto funciona bajo el agua y sin problemas detecta objetos. Espero recuperar lo invertido con los tesoros que quiero comprar.

Great product. Quick shipping time. Works well around water but would recommend still versus the beach as creasing waves offer a lot of disturbance and distraction despite the headphones
