Affordable and effective
I have used them before and for the cost and ease of installation they are a very effective way to secure sliding doors

Easy security boost
Just peel and stick you're done. Increases sliding door security in seconds. Works perfectly and it will not budget. Rest assured that it will withstand several 100lbs of pressure. Simple lock n unlocking.

Much easier solution to securing my RV mirror sliding doors than the breakable plastic latches
It worked perfectly. I made a trip and it kept the doors secure. This is a much better solution than continuously having to buy those cheap ass ridiculous brittle plastic latches that break after a single use that they sell to secure RV mirrored sliding doors.

Helps Me Feel Safe!
I just moved out on my own and I’ve been watching too much of the ID murder Channel. I am paranoid that someone is going to try to break in so I’ve got cameras and jingly bells everywhere. My balcony door is backwards and I am unable to put a stick or security screw in the balcony track as that side is on the outside rather that inside. In theory, someone could actually place a bar in and lock me inside the apartment. Anyway, this little attachment does the job of only allowing the balcony door to open as much as I allow it to, which is at the size of my small dog so he can slip in and out. When I want it to open fully I just flip the little plastic piece down and my sliding door is back to normal. When it comes down to it, if someone really wants to break in, they can just break the balcony glass door or ram this plastic piece off by repeatedly opening and closing the door. However that hassle may not be worth it and I’ll be alerted with the noise or from the security cameras I have. This little plastic piece is on securely and does make me feel safer. It was easily to install and at a good price. I may get another to put on the balcony door to have it open a few inches to get some air in and leave dog piece on as double barrier.

Almost perfect...
My youngest is 5 years old and on the spectrum, so he likes to make escape attempts. After finding him loose out our back door one night, I started looking for ways to lock the glass door. We couldn't use a traditional pin lock because my mother and MIL are both too short to reach it.I bought 5 of these. 2 for the sliding glass door, 2 for his bedroom windows (no falls from the second story, thank you), and 2 for the playroom windows. The 2 on the door work perfectly. They are extremely strong and give me peace of mind. The others, however, are the wrong side for our windows and can't slide behind the glass, making opening the window impossible. I still installed them in his room, because those windows should never be opened anyway. Glass can be broken in an emergency. I haven't installed the ones in the playroom just yet, still trying to decide if I need to, since he hasn't tried to open those yet and there's a big chair in the way.Over all, very happy with my purchase. The measurements were my fault, as I didn't really measure before buying. I wish they were a bit thinner though, we have standard builder grade windows, so I feel like they should have fit fine.

great addition for safety
The patio sliding door lock designed for child-proofing is a great addition for families with young children, offering both peace of mind and added security. After installation, it effectively prevents little ones from easily opening the door, which can be a common concern for parents. The lock is sturdy and well-designed.It provides a sense of security, especially for homes with access to outdoor spaces or pools, where safety is paramount. The lock blends well with the door’s design, so it doesn’t detract from the appearance of the patio.

Way over-priced after shipping cost
Okay, I admit it; it's my fault that I am dissatisfied. I didn't read the description well enough to notice that the $5 price tag is for ONE of these little gems. AND I didn't read the check out info well enough to notice that the shipping was another $6. $11 for one of these is just too much.It appears that the seller bought these in larger packages and is re-selling them per piece because it is just dropped in an envelope loose with a xerox of the install instructions.Update March 2. Adhesive not strong enough--I wanted to use mine as a way to lock the window in an open position, but adhesive not strong enough. When opening the window, Burglabar can be easily knocked out of position.I wasted my money on this product.I recommend Window Wedge.
