sizes are misleading - order sleeve that's 1.6x larger than you think you need!
Ordered some 1/2" DIAMETER (from the product description) sleeve. What that *actually* means is the sleeve is 1/2" wide in its flat on-roll condition.Diameter is, of course, the width of a circle, not the width of a flattened out sleeve. Practical upshot, when unflattened into it's natural circular shape (not counting any temporary expansion to be had by compressing the sleeve lengthwise), the sleeve has an internal diameter of about 0.31".So if you have a cable with connectors attached, and you measure the outer diameter of the connectors at less than 0.5", you might think the 1/2" diameter sleeve will work for you. Not even close. Ask me how I know!Practical upshot: You need to measure the diameter of the cable bundle you have (or the connectors if applicable), and then order sleeve that's 1.57x larger than that number. Conversely, for a given flat sleeve size, the diameter will be 0.63x that size. Some useful data:0.5" sleeve = 0.31" diameter0.75" sleeve = 0.47" diameter1" sleeve = 0.63" diameter1.25" sleeve = 0.79" diameter1.5" sleeve = 0.95" diameter

We have 5 cats who LOVE to chew on the hose
This really worked for me. Probably not what the manufacturers intented it to be used for but.... My mother uses an oxygen concentrator with a 50 foot hose. We have 5 cats who LOVE to chew on the hose. We used to go through 1 or 2 hoses a week, which gets expensive at $8.00 a hose. (She won't let me re-home the cats!). I have tried numerous products to cover the hose but nothing seemed to fit or stay or keep the little buggers from chewing them. I had a time trying to figure out how to run the hose through the sleeve but got it. The cats have tried and tried but their little sharp dagger teeth can't cut through it!! I'm thrilled. It's sturdy, cuts easily with sharp scissors.

Perfect product to stop my cat from chewing up all of my cords!!!
This product is exactly what i was looking for. My outside cat is stuck inside during the winter and gets very bored and decided to start chewing on all of my cords. He has ruined 5 of my them but now that I have this I have had no more problems. He has given up trying to chew through them cuz it's impossible.

Good / bad review plus some tips.
Ordered 25 foot roll each of 3/4" diameter blue/black and red/black color. The good:Arrived neatly packed.Works as expected.Cheaper in price than techflex. Can't understand some of the poor reviews. Can't really blame the product because of your ignorance. You just need to be smarter than a piece of braided plastic tubing. If you have never used techflex or techflex clones such as this, here's what to expect:Upon initial inspection, you might think the tubing is way too small. Nope, it's not. Grab it with both hands about 2 inches apart. Without letting go, move your hands closer together. Notice how the stuff expands? THAT is how it works. That is also how you apply it to whatever you're putting it over. Think chinese finger trap.Along with knowing that, you will need some way to 'clamp' the ends down when you are done applying it. Shrink tubing works wonders. Get some while buying this.Last up is cutting the stuff. Expect the ends to fray if you don't use a hot knife. Buy a hot knife, hold an x-acto blade in a flame for a bit, etc... or, if you are cutting it cold, deal with the fray and when you are ready to seal the ends with shrink tube or whatever you are using, go around the fray and trim it off with scissors. The bad:Unless you are doing it for a reason, leave the coil in the bag (for the 25' section). It WILL unravel on you like a clock spring and is a royal pain to sit and coil it back together.

Great for audio cable management
Used this to help tame cables for a "pedalboard snake." I easily managed to get 3 thick 1/4 cables and two thinner power / amp switching cables through it. The braid expands more than I expected. Probably could have fit all 5 cables through the 1/2" version, but that would have been pretty tight. Use a electricians fish-tape to make your life easier.

makes coiling cables even easier!
Working in IT i try to keep my cables well organized, coiled and do anything to extend their life. This does all of those things. I highly recommend it for sleeving ethernet, or the USBc Power cable that comes with the new macbook pro. I attached a picture of my sleeved USBc cable i use for my macbook. I used the 1/4in for this particular application.

Perfect for making your own Festool Dust Extractor Sleeve
The 1.25" diameter sleeve is PERFECT for wrapping and creating a snag-free Festool hose for the CT Mini/Midi dust extractors (which are 27 - 32mm in diameter). If you were thinking about getting the new braided antistatic hoses because you're tired of snags bringing your track saw cut to a grinding halt, save yourself the $160. I used rubber bands to keep the ends in place - I've seen electrical tape and zip ties, too. I love Festool, but save yourself the dough for the tools - the accessories, nice as they are, are not the best place to invest on a limited budget.

...feed wires through like working a mouse through a snake
Looks good installed over the wire bundles on my 3D printer. It's a little tricky to feed the wires through, but eventually I was able to feed them through like working a mouse through a snake. The ends fray easily, but melting the ends fixes that. Before feeding the wires through, I forced the braided sleeve over the end of a pair of needle-nose pliers. With the end flared out on the pliers, I used a small butane torch to melt the end of the braid. This created a sort of funnel that A) made it easier to feed wires through, and B) kept the end from fraying. After situating the wires in the braid, I held the braid in place with some small tie wraps. Looks very neat and professional.

Darn slick ! ( HOW TO USE TIPS GIVEN AS WELL )
Bought this a while and gone through most. I do a lot of cables for friends ( it's always nice to call in favors later on ! ) as I guess they like my work. I find the colored sleeving such as this red and also blue are both very popular as it give it that certain slick look. Black use to be the thing however it seems people want that color accent the past couple years. Not much to say, it's good stuff.1. high quality2. smooth thread - meaning the threads themselves to make up this sleeving are even and don't make things catch3. true size - you grab X size you get X size. Not like you buy 3/4 and get poor quality and it ends up being just over 1/2. UGTIP: I use a small butane click torch right after I do a cut. Not to go nuts and melt the end entirely but just a quick heat flash over that end to weld together a few of those sleeving threads from having the end unravel.TIP: If you melt the end entirely what you'll find is that end part will not expand properly as the way it should so you'll find yourself cutting it off and redoing the cut or trying to force your wire through that smaller opening. Forcing it will just lead to frustration.TIP: If you've never worked with this type of stuff before, think of an inch worm especially the longer distance wires you need to sleeve. Fish some wire into the sleeve, then hold that beginning spot...then go to where the wire ends inside the sleeve and pull only the sleeve down. As you do this the wire will work its way further up the sleeving with ease, just like an inch worm moves on a leaf. Might sound weird to explain it but it works like a charm.TIP: At times the wires we need to sleeve are sharp ( wire itself or the wire jacket ) and they catch on the inside of the sleeve, in this case use a bit of electrical tape folded over evenly as doing this will make the wire slide much easier especially if you have a longer length of wire to sleeve.FINAL TIP: Heatshrink tubing, heatshrink tubing, heatshrink tubing. Make sure you have! Get those sleeve ends done up so they don't unravel and to make your job nice and neat. Again I use a butane click torch which works absolutely perfect. This stuff is high quality and I recommend this to absolutely everybody.Helpful, is how I hope you find my review.

Komplizierte Anwendung

As good as the real stuff
As good as the real on-brand stuff from PlioSil.Remember to order a size up as the listing dimensions are actually cross section when lied flat rather than the diameter of the circle! someone doesn't understand pii i guess.Anyway great stuff very usful in a camper van conversion for covering cables from metal edges.

Complete waste of money (((
What a waste ... it doesn't add any value ... it is just a sleeve around a single cable, yet only if there the plug at the end of the cable is not wider than the cable itself! What is the point of buying this product if you cannot open it from the sides ?! Don't waste a penny on this useless product, you have been warned!

Great for a cable repair
I had some cat related damage to the insulation of my laptop charger cable. I used 3/8" sleeving and some heat shrink tube to protect the cable. It worked really well and expect my repair will outlive the Macbook.
