Great book for first time Lovebird owners. An easy read with a lot of information you are going to need. There’s just one thing I’m critical about and that’s the section on Taming your lovebird. They recommend pushing your fingers against the chest of the bird to teach it to step up and that’s not what you want to do at all. You should slowly develop trust with your bird by offering Millet or other treats and use the millet to lure the bird closer to your finger until they one day choose to step up. I promise they will step up, my birds despised me at one point but now I’m their poppa

Just needed some more reading for my kids to insure they know all about their pets. Lots of good information. Great if you're a firt time lovebird owner.

The book contains the basic information. But it has nothing about when birds reach maturity, how to get them to eat vegetables and/fruits. How to train them when they are a few months old. I have found more hands-on information on the internet. It lacks a lot of details for someone just starting up.
