Eight Upanishads, with the Commentary of Sankara, Vol. II

Poor Quality
The pages are very thin and the print is not sharp or clear. It can be difficult to find Out of Print books so options are limited, but this copy is poor quality. Finding a used original edition would be a better value.

A must read book
A book every Hindu should readA book to be read by all religions to understand their own religion better, as this book brings out the truth of upanishads, which is a wonderful depiction of the oneness of God.

Didn't care for it
Not sure why Sankaracharya is lauded as the greatest Indian philosopher of all time. This commentary is just him parsing words with no real explanation or argument. It's missing the brihadaranyaka which is probably the most important of the early Upanishads.

Not an Authorized Version!
This does not seem to be an authorized version, probably a pirated copy. The content itself is very good but unfortunately by pirating the book will lead to loss of revenue to the original publishers.

Good step up from paperback
After reading the paperback version with only the english translation, is nice to read the mantras, dwell on the phonetics in devanagri and understand the meaning of the verses.

Pages missing 156 to 172 in the bound book.
All pages need to be checked complete before binding.
